My wife went to get her PCC last week in Ahmedabad, India, they said they require some sort of "checklist" or something with a bar code from NVC. They want to know on what basis is she getting her PCC done? Any thoughts on this?

Ye m sort of confused about police clearance what to do now because if I wait for IV payment done it will be another month for waiting to get pcc done . Can i print out the page of IV n AOS processing page n can get pcc done? Is it possible????

Hey guys, same for me....I have a quick question on this also..... for the DS-230 IV Package, it states i need a police certificate for both the UK (where I live) and also for anywhere I have resided for 12 months or more. As I lived in Hong Kong for 12 months, well just under, I need one. However the HK police send them directly to the party (ie embassy/government branch) who requests them, I also need a letter stating that I need one for the visa. Therefore;

1) Will i get a letter from the NVC stating i need these documents? (Packet 3???) if so when i get my letter from the NVC?

2) I guess the HK police will send it direct to the NVC correct? If so will the NVC forward this to the London Embassy?

Thanks for your help guys!

Hello, My husband was able to receive PCC without providing any documents. He had his I 130 approval notice with him, but nobody ever asked for it when he went to passport office.

We are from kerala, I have never heard of anything like this before.

May be you can take your I 130 approval notice with you.

Just done talking with NVC representative. she was very nice lady telling me....." I know this is what you want to hear this time - your CASE is COMPLETE as of today. But, there's still minor mistake in the 1-864 and you can just take it with you during your interview. Wait for the email for further instructions and you will receive soon your interview schedule."

Thank you God and Thank you VJ family.

Please add me to the spreadsheet and what is the link? smile.png

So i received an email from NVC today with the following:

"You recently sent us an email with attached files. One or more of those files was either encrypted or password protected. Please resubmit your attachments without encryption or password protection so we may complete our review."

What does that mean? I opened all the files again for my computer and they were all fine.. I am going to try to open it from other computers and see whats the problem..

Have been trying to contact NVC for the last three days but first i was getting office closed due to weather message and now engage tone.. i have tried calling them atleast 50 times now..

Hi Saylin, just in case you want to fill out the grayed fields beside my name on the spreadsheet.. smile.png

Got NVC case# on Jan08, sent IV on Jan24, submitted DS260 on Jan27, Received checklist for police report but NVC rep said i can just bring it on the interview. Thanks for adding me up btw! smile.png

Thanks for the missing dates! :)

Hello Saylin,

Please add us to the NVC processing time spreadsheet! We have been approved

NOA2 Feburary 5th

NCV received the case Feburary 18th

No Case # yet!

thank you for all your great advices!

Merci, added!

Hey Saylin,

Could we please be added to the spreadsheet as well?

NOA2 APPROVED on 12th Feb 2014, from Nebraska Service Center.

Added!

Hi Saylin!

Please add me to the spreadsheet as well. Thank you!

Added!

1. Should i enter my wife's ITIN number as her SSN on I-864ez ?

The 2013 transcript shows her SSN as her ITIN.

2. I know that its optional to send the previous 2 years transcripts. Should i send it or not ? Did people get a checklist for not sending ? The issue i see is that on the previous transcripts my status was single. ( I later filed amended once i was able to secure an ITIN for her )

1. Definitely not. An ITIN is only for tax purposes. It's not a SSN.

2. It's up to you whether you send them or not. As it states in the form, the other 2 years are optional.

I just called NVC and asked for a status. They said 30 business days from when they received the packets. They received mine 02/07. 30 business days means march 21st. Simply wow.

Saylin, please add me to the spreadsheet as well. Thank you!

Added! When did you complete the DS-260?

If you want me to

I already added you, but you didn't exactly ask to be added. You just quoted me and wrote dates.

NVC has received the Agent of Choice Letter. Please allow 2-4 weeks for

this form to be processed. The Immigrant Visa Fee bill will then be sent

to the designated agent.

what that mean again i have to wait 2-4 weeks for IV fees after they already received ds261??

i emailed them yesterday and i got this reply

Saylin,

please add me to the spreadsheet

I130 send 05/08/2012

NOA1 05/13/2013

NOA2 12/18/2013

nvc received 01/13/2014

got case number 02/03/2014

Yes, that's what that means. Could be a shorter time frame, could be a longer time frame. It's just their boilerplate time frame.

And added!

i had case complete on the 11th of feb.

but case complete email only came today.

Yes, it's quite normal for it to be a week or two before receiving emails from NVC. This is why I always recommend calling them vs just waiting to receive correspondence.

My wife told them she needs PCC for U.S spouse visa. They said she will have to add my name to her passport. It took 3 weeks to add my name then a week for PCC to be done. I would recommend you sending your wife again and talking to someone different in the passport office. Try showing them your -130 approved letter.

Not sure what's next honestly... All I know is that the ball is in their court now, but have no clue of what will happen next :/

Yup, the ball is in their court now. Basically, it'll be about 20 business days (probably longer due to the holidays and frequent closures) before they start reviewing your paperwork. I'd say, for the next 2-3 weeks, just call them once or twice a week. Around the 20th business day mark, start calling them more often.

Lol yes I wrote an email to them 02/03/2014 since I figured it was too early to call and was hoping that by the time they replied back they could at least tell me when they received my case... But this was their reply:Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your inquiry.

We recently received your visa petition. We will send NVC processing instructions within 30 days.

Sincerely,
