Alright, so on the K1 guide from this site it states:

4. I-134 Affidavit of Support form. Ensure it is signed, with all required supporting evidence. Begin collecting the required information ahead of time, as it can often take several weeks to collect it all. 5. You will need several items (for the above form). Gather duplicate evidence of income and resources as appropriate:

(A) Statement from an officer of the bank/financial institution with your deposits, identifying the following: 1. date account opened; 2. total amount deposited for the past year; 3. present balance
(B) Statement(s) from your employer on business stationary showing: 1. Date and nature of employment; 2. salary paid; 3. whether position is temporary or permanent (also include copies of your last two pay stubs and your previous W-2 for the associated employer if available)
© If Self Employed: 1. Copy of last income tax return filed (or IRS transcripts); or 2. report of commercial rating concern
(D) List containing serial numbers and denominations of bonds and name of record owner(s).

Begin collecting these ASAP after your NOA2 arrives. See this FAQ for more tips and useful information on the Affidavit of Support Form.

We have begun gathering our post-NOA2 documents to be sent to myself (beneficiary) so I can bring it to the embassy. My fiancée (petitioner) recently quit her job and is looking for another one as we speak - and we have decided that even if she does get a job, we will use a co-sponsor.. and with that said we have a couple things we are a little unsure on, and while I've read threads up and down these forums about this subject, I need to ask this:

  1. Does my fiancée (petitioner) have to send all the above mentioned documents, statements, etc., if she has a job that puts her above the 125% poverty line?
  2. What exactly do co-sponsors need to document if they, too, are above the 125% poverty line?
  3. How many co-sponsors can we actually have? Is there even a limit (we currently have two friends who offered up their support)

I really hope you guys can help settle these issues. Thanks in advance. smile.png

The co-sponsor, there can only be one, fills out their own separate I-134 and provides the same documentation as the USC petitioner does with their I-134. This is usually most recent tax transcript, letter from employer and/or most recent pay stubs. The co-sponsor may want to also provide proof of being a USC or LPR, just in case it is asked for. No need to list assets or provide bank letter/statements if not using assets to meet the requirement

The only documentation REQUIRED for the I-134 is what your embassy specifically asks for. The evidences they list in the I-134 instructions are all optional. You do not need to include a letter of employment (unless the embassy requires it), but it is wise to include it as it is further proof of your income. Likewise, if you are not including assets there is no need to include a bank statement.

Typically if you are just using income, the documents to include are usually just employment letter, last few pay stubs, and most recent tax return transcript. Your co-sponsor in addition will need to provide proof of being a USC or an LPR.
