i need ur help so im a husband of a us citizen, and i checked my case so here whats written "On January 23, 2014, we transferred this case to your USCIS local field office for additional processing. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283." whats that mean, ? is that normal ? and its gonna take so much long ??? what should we do to make it more faster ,?cuz i soooooooo missssssssss the light of my life, my wife, thank u

It would really help us if you would fill in your timeline- you can find it if you click on your name at the top right. Tell us when you sent your I-130, when you got your 797 notice of action (NOA), etc. (also the country where you're living now)

Then, we'll have a better idea. Almost all I-130 petitions get transferred to another office for processing. It means you're a step closer!

You may get a few more emails, all saying about the same thing, but when your USC spouse gets the paper notice in the mail, it will tell you where your file was transferred to. Let us know where it went! (Probably to Texas=TSC, California=CSC, or Nebraska=NSC)

Depending on where your petition was sent, it may take anywhere from a couple of weeks to several more months til you get your NOA2 (petition approved), RFE (they need more evidence), etc.

Hello, This is a normal step in recent months. Until recently, a great number of I-130's were being transferred from the service center in Kansas (NBC) that was originally delegated to handle this type of cases to other service centers in Texas, California and Nebraska (TSC, CSC, NSC). They are doing this to alleviate the delays due to overflow of cases. Your spouse in the US should receive a letter in the mail that will indicate which one of the three service centers will handle your case from now on.

As far as how much longer it will take, it is hard to say. Majority of normal cases transferred to CSC have been seeing approvals in as little as two weeks. Other cases transferred to TSC or NSC are experiencing longer wait times. You should look up other forums of people that filed in the same month as you to get a better idea.

All it means is your case has been transferred for processing which has become normal. Without knowing the visa type applied for or updating your timeline we can't give you a guess on how long the decision will take.

My wife sent the form I-130 at April,15 2013, 4 days after she received the receipt telling us our case number ,im living in Tunisia

so my wife called the uscis and they told her that we will get a mail soon,

im worried because i so can't wait to be with my wife,

It just depends on where it was sent. Texas and Nebraska are taking closer to 60 days to approve whereas California seems to be moving faster. Just keep checking your online status for a change

NOA is a Notice of Action. You would have received your NOA 1 when your case was received at USCIS and you will get your NOA 2 when the national service center where it was transferred to, approves your petition. You will get a notice in the mail telling you where your case was transferred to. Be patient - the letter will come and if you want to, you can always call USCIS and ask
