My question is, if it's helpfull to ask for an infopass because of our I-129f case? Right now we have a service request pending, can we still ask although the service request is pending or would it make sense to wait and ask for the infopass after the service request?

The USCIS told us on the phone that TSC has passed our receipt date (NOA1) of august, 12, 2013! They would actually work on august 16,2013 that's why we were getting the service request from them.....

I was reading a lot that they give you the response of this service request with "background checks" and to call back in 6 months, so that's why I'm asking if people have made here good experiences with an INFOPASS and if it's helpfull...

I appreciate your help really so much! Thank you all

Not really. We went and the only thing semi-useful I got out of it was that "the last update was in November" but that they "couldn't tell us anymore than that." It made me feel a little better as the last update date I could see on uscis.gov was July. Still no NOA2/approval. Received a bunch of texts that the case was transferred a few days ago, but still no useful info. It's disheartening to see that others have already had their NOA and interviews and they submitted AFTER we did. :-( INFOPass and gov't is useless.

My case is regarding an I 130 but I will let you know my experience with info pass. My I 130 was approved on Dec 27,2012 ( after the interview) and by August 2013, I haven't hear from anyone. Long story short, I called USCIS several times but they were not able to give any new information. I made an info pass and they noticed that there was a problem with my husbands name (made by them) and that's why the case was not transferred. I had a second info pass a month later and I was told that the case was going to be transferred to the NVC. Fast forward 2 months and I go back (3rd info pass) because NVC still doesn't have the case. Lady at USCIS noticed that the case was never forward (no one knows why) she said she was going to sent it and around a week later I received the letter from USCIS saying that the transferred the case to NVC. After that I received the letter from NVC that they had the case. And they received everything with the right name. In my case the info pass was good because the case was stuck for almost a year (approved on Dec 2012, transferred to NVC on Dec 2013). it depends what's going on with your case. Good Luck
