Downsides to "side loading"?

I have a belated honeymoon booked for April and would like to submit the itinerary, flight bookings, etc for review in my case. It seems that submitting this information can be submitted at the NVC.

Are there any downsides to submitting additional relationship evidence at the NVC? The NVC doesn't explicitly request this information so I would not have considered doing so but I saw some posts about it here on VJ. Thanks

Submitting more relationship evidence or for some who never did its not a no no. Hey the USCIS never asked either for all that but we do it.

Look at it this way. Whatever you submit at USCIS or NVC gets sent before you to the embassy where a CO will review. I ask you then,

What evidence do you want in a CO's hands that will help them render a decision. A decision that will be made before the interview is even started.

Never rely on evidence brought to an interview as your "chance" because as you will read many threads here some never are asked or given the chance to show that evidence.

Send what you want (just think you save on all that postage sending it to your husband or wife).

Just a note I sent 1291 pages that amounted to 21 lbs. It was delivered to the embassy I tracked that baby.

At USCIS I had a rubber stamp made with our names and stamped all 219 page. At NVC I had a rubber stamp made with our case number and yep stamped all 1291 pages (I resent the whole initial I-130 package for good measure. LOL

So do what you feel comfortable with. I defined crazy and overload at NVC. luv.gif

And at the interview you saw that the stuff you submitted at NVC was indeed in your case file?

Side loading can lead to denial A consular officer can deny for knowledge not know during the initial decision. Anything after USCIS is post initial decision and can be used y the officer as a evidence of facts unknown to deny at interview. Unless you sent in a weak petition and you are from a high fraud place you don't need to waste the postage.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Can you clarify why additional bonafide evidence submitted at NVC would lead to a denial?

It shouldn't . But there have been the odd ball cases in high fraud consulates where sending additional evidence to side load the petition backfired and it was mentioned as "proof" for the denial. n their handbook it states that an denial should only deny if they have additional evidence that the original USCIS adjudicator did not have which includes things that wind up in the packet later.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

I think for Ireland, you are safe to just bring it to the interview. More than likely they probably won't even look at it. We had our I-130 approved through London with no evidence and then sent on to the embassy with none and the CO didn't ask to see scrapbooks or any evidence. I'd bring it with for sure, but advice that applies to Nigeria probably does not apply to Ireland.

Just to clarify N-O-L-A, although I live in Ireland and have an Irish passport, I live in the north which is in UK so have to go to London for my interview. It's a bit ridiculous really as the embassy here is only less than an hours drive from where I live but I'll have to fly to London, stay overnight there for interview. Have also to go to London for medical. Hard to understand when they are BOTH U. S. EMBASSYS! Just makes the whole process so much more expensive too!

I'm mailing my IV packet tomorrow….and this was my concern. At the time I sent my initial packet, I sent a few emails, pics, etc…but now i have more pics, chat logs, a lease, western union receipts, etc. I want to send these to NVC, but certainly don't want to hurt my chances at all.
