Hello. Here is my situation.I was dating one guy for almost 3 years,we broke up 2 years ago.He has been violent in our raltionship, and i was in constant fear to leave him because he told me if i do that he will kill me,he has police record with many crimes, thank's to God i left him with support of my family. He was threatening me on the phone calls ,so i changed my phone number ,all this time he has been doing that,i called police but police can't do anything to protect me from him.In september i got married and since then situation is even worse. Now he started threatening my family, friends even my husband and his family in US through facebook. The worst of all is that he lives on my street, and i'm scareed to go anywhere from my house. My life is in danger but i can't do anything to prevent him to stop molesting me,or my family. My husband wants to call USCIS so i could get expedite process and move from here sooner as possible.I'm afraid because i think that could only get me in worst situation and i colud get denial of visa. Please help me,what should i do?Is there any chance to get expedite process?Thank you for your answers, and excuse my bad english.rose.gif

A denied expedite request doesn't mean you can't get a visa. It just means you can't go fast. I don't think this qualifies for an expedite, though, so I would focus on another solution. Can you move and get a temporary place, since you are moving permanently soon anyway? Best of luck.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Have you tried filing a formal report against this person and obtaining a restraining order? Listen I would contact the abuse hotlines and ask if there is something you can do to get this guy either in jail or away from you. Is moving an option? I would also bring up a complaint against the police for not looking into this matter more. So many women are attacked and even killed because the police failed to do anything. If this guy has an extensive background I would think that they would look into this

Wait, before I even comment any more, are you in the states? Or are you trying to get here?

I'm stil in Bosnia.I've called police and ask them how can i get restraining order ,they told me i can get that only if he attacks me,but that peace of paper is still just formal thing in my country,it really doesnt mean anything. Moving is not an options because i'm afraid he will find me and it could end up worse.Police just don't wanna listen to me,as thay say this is not serious case for them. :(
