WOw cool

I just got approved today too. It should be about 20 days on average, but I know some are longer. The waiting at each step really sucks but thats the way it is.

Don't call or do anything. They will let you know that. After NVC received our case, it took 20 to a month to let us know. We provided email and they let us know via email which is very fast. NVC is fast and so far the process for us been very fast. from the time that NVC received our case till filling affidavit of support, it took about 2 months and a couple of days in total. So be patient.

Not true for every case. We were never informed via email that our case number and IIN is ready. I'll recommend calling everyday after one week. It usually takes 2-4 weeks. If you wait for them to contact you it will be longer.

It could take as long as 8 weeks to get a case number BUT it is usually shorter than that.

You can call them every day for updates if you want to. No harm in doing so. yes.gif

You got email for $88 and choice of agent , Did they use your same email address which you mentioned in I-130 application ?

or

You gave them your email address again ?

if yes then on what stage you did it ?

Hi!

Just thought I'd mention, we received notice that it was being forwarded to NVC on Jan 7th and so I called them today. They received it Jan 16th but a case# hasn't been assigned yet...lady said it would take between 10 and 20 business days so I guess i'll try again in a week or so. At least I know it's in the building (as she put it!).

Fingers crossed for fast processing to everyone :-)

I'm confused?? I called state department, (my NOA2, said this is where it was sent), to get our case number, which I got, but, was told it was sent to NVC so, I called them to see where or what's next, I was told it's in administration process and to call early next week for updates they had received it on Jan 17, how long it stays there she was unable to clarify? Anyone else experience this? I thought once you get a case number off to the embassy of beneficiary, am I wrong?
