Good day!

Me and my boyfriend met online last March 2013 and meet 4 times in person. We went home twice and introduced him to my family and will be finally engage next month when he arrive. We applied for a K-1 visa and was already link to the check. Now we are waiting for the documents from USCIS and hopefully will start getting the requirements needed and submit them. How long will the K-1 visa be approve? We are hoping that I can come with him back to States next month. Or maybe not?

Would you think the the sort of time we've known each other will affect the approval?

I will heartedly appreciate your help.

Thank you so much!

Some people have just met after dating in a short amount of time at once and got approved. Make sure you showing to the consulate that both of you have a genuine relationship.

Depends. For the last 5 months, K-1 visa approvals are faster than the other routes. Usually it takes 3-6 months at USCIS stage, a few weeks at NVC, and finally at the embassy. Folks from the Philippines can give you some good idea how to started off your I-129F. The fastest approval for I-129F that I've seen on VJ so far was only in 16 days.

Yes the payment was already cashed out so what documents we are waiting is the noa1. Sorry guys I'm new here. Petition sent 4 weeks ago.

We have a lot of photos. We've been together every other month for 7-9 days each. Maybe I can start getting the requirements as soon as he recieved the noa1?

timeline.gif . It will helps others people journey. If you already have an email from USCIS it means you already have NOA-1. The arrival of NOA-1 hardcopy is not indicate the date. You can check your status "acceptance" on USCIS website to be sure.
