Will I need Co-Sponsor in this case?

Hello Vj,

I just have few questions regarding my case at the moment. I petitioned my mom and now she is on NVC, on a Expedite Processing,. I've been contemplating if I will be needing a co-sponsor in this case now.

I got divorced this year, but my ex husband and I always file jointly. so our Tax transcripts for 2010, 2011. 2013 are all both our names and we exceed the poverty guideline.

I just started working on my own and have 2 employers from where I will get my W2s in probably few days from now and when combined, my gross income for couple of months exceeds poverty guideline.

Questions:

`Should I wait until I get my own tax papers for 2013 and and just totally disregard the previous years for me and my ex? (im scared NVC will ask paperwork from him which is virtually impossible for him to cooperate)

` Should I still include the tax transcripts for 2010 2011 2012 and just provide divorce papers? or this is a bad idea?

Thanks for the feedback.

Using your own 2013 ITR and W2 is enough (the latest 1040/w2 is what matters). The past years are just optional (meaning you don't need to submit it).

If your 2013 income is below poverty guidelines, you need a joint sponsor.
