G325-A and signature

Hi everyone!

This is my first time posting here. I have question regarding G325-A. My wife in India has the form and the attorney back there said rather than fedex the document they can just scan it and send the digital copy with her signature to me. I argued against it since it clearly says on I-130 instructions that signature has to be in ink.

I have told my wife to fedex it regardless of what he says but then shouldn't he already know this? I am questioning his work now.

It doesn't make sense to hire an attorney in India if your wife is migrating to US. They know little about what needs to be done. If you are to hire an immigartion attorney, it should be from the US. Personally, you don't need an attorney. Most people here, do it themselves. You jus have to read and read and read... Check and check and check, make sure you have everything they asked for before you send it... Signatures should be in ink. Forms should be submitted original with signatures not scanned and not xerox copy... you can photocopy them but that serves as your copies ( it is your choice ).
