Un-Booking a Medical?

Hello.

So I sent off for my police certificate yesterday using the regular service. And I've just booked my medical for the 27th Jan. Do you think I've left myself enough time for the certificate to be returned? I know there won't be anything on it as I haven't been in trouble with the police ever. I'm just worried now that I should have booked the medical for a week later.

Should I change it? Or pray that my police check takes less than 10 days to process (plus postage) and see how things go? I read that you have to give 3 days notice to change it without a penalty fee of £90?

Any advice is appreciated, thank you.

It's three clear working days' notice - so you couldn't cancel today for an appointment on Tuesday. The cancellation fee is 95 pounds.

I would wait for two weeks. If nothing has happened regarding your police certificate (I think I remember that you either get an e-mail to say it's being processed or you can call up), then reschedule your appointment. Remember that there is usually two weeks wait for an appointment at Knightsbridge doctors.

You should be OK, I applied for mine just before Christmas, standard and it took about a week. So glad I didn't pay extra for it. I have my medical on the 14th Jan, delayed it because of the expense of Christmas and because I had my fiance over. This is the part I am dreading as I hear its pretty intensive and personal. Good luck!

Removal of Conditions..  TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

Time to reset the tick tock clock again.   Roll my eyes.

The medical is very basic and barely intrusive. Quick check to see if you are as advertised and that's it. It's pretty much a standard medical you would have at any time.
