Is your baby a US citizen? If she is you can go get her and bring her to the US yourself, no need need to wait for moms visa if her illness is that dire.

Dude go to the local uscis in Hammond with

copies of your wife papers regarding I 212

request (if that's where she left from even better)

take translated medical papers for the baby, the

cbra registration of you baby & request to speak

with a decision maker and explain to them.Father

or mother does not matter U R the parent in the

USA better able to get quality medical care and

your wife needs to breast feed and bond here if

you should even bring over the child..

When U leave there stop stop by the local office of

your Congress-person and sign the form there for

aid from the Laison, keep the word expedite in all

conversations as Lone 212 takes a long time to

process...good luck

There is no USCIS office in Hammond, he falls under Chicago field office and needs to go there. Address: 101 West Congress Parkway Chicago, IL 60605.

In My Humble Opinion:

This is not intended to upset you or offend you in any way.

Your baby is a USC. Baby was born ill "not emergency" condition. You will not get the expedite for your wife. You have the option of picking up the baby. The US is going to say that you can pick up your baby. (I am sure the treatments there are way cheaper than in the US.) They are not going to expedite your wife to be a baby sitter for the baby in the US. (That is what the US government will say, not me.) Sorry but that is what I believe...I hope I am wrong...

I will be praying for all of you. God Bless and good luck

When you wrote your hardship waiver letter did you vividly state what you just said. Remember the hardship has to be for the USC not the immigrant. You supporting two households and working and the fact you can't 100% take care of your daughter while being cared for at hospital you need your wife here. State that.

Can you consult with an attorney and get them to write you up one. Call Laurel Scott great waiver attorney here in Houston and we reference her alot here on VJ.

You need things moving fast don't know how fast things can get but it does need to be done right.

I wish you all the best and a healthy speedy recovery for your baby.

I 212 (lone) are based on facts of the deportation and the

discretion of the Director Gen. of immigration, there's no

really hardship requirements as a waiver for moral turpitude,

however one can add hardships if so desired..This waiver

check if U would be a threat to national security & can take

up to 13 months to process, the interview must be done prior

to turning in waivers , immigration papers and payments.

(This waiver is for those who have never had a criminal record

or arrests, have being deported once with legitimate reasons

to return) A follow up expedite is allowed to be sent in.with

evidences & reasons to expedite

the OP wasn't copping an attitude at all. But you are. There is no need to be rude to someone looking for guidance.

don't comment on anything I post please... you have added ZERO to this topic.. and by the way, I am not the only person suggesting that he go get his child.
