True, it's definitely confusing. I put N/A on 6c in order to not calculate my income twice. I think it may have been used in the previous I-864 version. If anyone else has input please add, thanks.

Thank You....I did some digging around the net and found it is a known error in the instructions.

I put the amount on line 5 which corresponds to line 22 of my 1040 tax on line 10 with lines 6 thru 9 N\A

I posted the question worded different ways so that someone searching in the future might be more likely

yea i know that about the bar code sheet must be on top

everywhere i read said send in tax transcripts and w-2 optional

I am sending in all, I rather them have it, if they dont need it, they dont need it.

Go ahead and start working on 2013 taxes in case your interview date falls after April 14, then

your tax transcript will be available for immediate download from the IRS website to send in and/or

take to the interview.

Not yet, are you calling them everyday or every other day? I got my around a month later, you need to take in to consideration the holidays and stuff the NVC was closed. Should be getting it within a week or so. Keep calling.

Just received an email about a checklist..

One says, they received my ds-260 and are waiting for my aupportinging document (assuming this is the IV package?) is this a false checklist then?

And AOS.. For my mother in law, not my husband, she's a joint sponsor.. It's says we have to correct and complete section 1-8 that the AOS they received was missing the following pages.. Which def is not true..we sent a complete package which I doubled checked many times.. In a checklist, do I need to sent all the supporting documents if it's not asking for that? Sooo frustrated.

To the first, yes, that sounds like a false checklist, based on them reviewing the AOS package.

As for the second, if you're sure you did it correctly and sent it in, you can try speaking with a supervisor and requesting a supervisor review since you sent in the paperwork.

I have just started my DS260 and have realised that I wont be able to finish until next week as I wont have some of the information unti then.

Is it ok to leave it as saved/incomplete for that long? Do NVC care how long you leave it unfinished?

That's fine. I don't think NVC will even know. I'm guessing they're only notified once it's actually completed and been submitted. So, take your time with no worries.

I received NOA2 on 12/4 and I'm still waiting for my case number along with a bunch of others with a similar date. It's taking longer I assume due to the massive load of cases being approved since the transfers started.

Are you planning to call today? I am kind of hesitant/afraid I really want to move forward. Good luck to us

Question: Can we send in the pdf version of Tax return that you can now download from IRS website? and also take the same print out version to Interview?

I was just going through your excellent guide for Montreal EP processing and trying to find out how to reduce file size in acrobat and i couldnt find the "Document>Reduce File Size" option so i googled it and foud this out that helped me .. http://forums.adobe.com/thread/761153

"File > Save As > Optimized PDF...", as opposed to "File > Save As > Reduced Size PDF

I am not sure if some people would still be using the old version of Acrobat but you may want to add this in your next round of updating Wiki. Thanks again for all your help and support here to all of us here..

I want to move forward too. I called and it's not in the system yet. Definitely didn't plan to wait 2 months for the case number after NOA2. Hoping for Monday, good luck!

Hi Saylin,

I have a question about IV package.

So I filed I 130 for my parents.

Now, they do have an original marriage certificate, but they only have one and certified will take a long time.

However, since I have to send two separate envelopes, one for each. Can I send original with one and write a letter explaining that an original is with the NVC, however it's just in the other spouse's file.

They will go to the interview together.
