Hello everyone,

I spoke to an ISO (immigration Service officer) this morning in reference to my husband's file that i submitted in June 20 2013 and I did not get much satisfaction. I was told this morning that the NBC (national Benefits center) is over loaded with I1-30 so the decision was made to transfer several cases back to the local service centers for processing.

Also the ISO told me this morning that I am still within the processing time frame which is 6-8 month. If you go on the website and take a look at the process times you will see that most if not all 4 or 5 of the service centers have a February 13 2013 processing time. What this means is they are still working on cases sent in during that month and before. Anyone that filed after February is basically still pending.

I do not feel as though this is all true because I have a friend of my husbands that is in the same process and they seem to be getting through with everything VERY quickly. They live in NYC and assigned to the Chicago lockbox and California service center if I am not mistaken. I believe where you live and which service center you are assigned to makes a huge difference. I see it as the USCIS/ NBC is trying to kill time so that they can catch up with the work. So we all have to wait longer.

I feel your pain, My priority date is july 19. It sucks to wait. I hope they actually approve petitions instead of transferring to other service centers.

Cant wait till this is over!!

So I just called the NBC and they told me my case was transferred to my local USCIS office on Jan 7th. I still haven't received any email or notice but i did checked my case status online and there is a note about my case being transferred. Hopefully this will speed up the process a little bit.
