I-751 Wrong filing fee

I was so excited and sent my ROC package last week and check the tracking that they received it today. When I was browsing the form and saw the discrepancy on the filing fee I wrote in the check. I sent $585 instead of $590 ($505 application fee and $85 biometrics). I am worried now because my wife's CGC will expire in Feb 1st. What's going to happen withy application? How much time do you think before they send it back?

They will more than likely send the ROC package back, since the fee paid was for the incorrect amount. I'm not sure of the timeframe, but it took them about 2 weeks from receiving my wife's ROC package to cashing the check and her receiving the 1 year NOA extension letter. So I would assume within a week or two.

I suggest you cancel the check with your bank and

send off an entirely new ROC packet with a new check in the right amount.

Don't wait on USCIS to 'do something'.

I'm not sure about submitting another package when one is already on the way. It might be confusing to USCIS? If I remember correctly USCIS prefer you not to do it but in the case of something that will be returned anyways not sure how that'll work. But do it at your own discretion if you choose to submit another package before getting the first one back. They're usually pretty quick in terms of returning anything but you just never know.

God is super good, I received the return application yesterday and I was able to resubmit it too with the correct amount this time. Hopefully we get approve without any interviews. Thank you all.

Did you reprint and reassemble the paperwork again, or did you send back the paperwork with the correct amount, that was returned to you due to the amount issue?
