Calling cards

Cell phone log

itineraries for each time i visited, proof of my dad always accompanying me on each trip....reasons for some of my trips other than visiting my fiance....how he tied into the visits...

cards, poems and pics of gifts.

passport stamp

Then I wrote on everything so the reviewer could see the big picture...

My lawyer missed that whole part I guess. Well I send my rfe on sep 14 and they acknowledge receiving it in 16. Just wondering to see timeline for approva. Thank you for ur response in advance.

Vermont service center....please take a look at my timeline for exact dates but I think it took two weeks to get an approval :dance::dance: for our petition.

My RFE reason:

I included a divorce decree and only used the page with the County clerk stamp and our names on it. The Case Manager wanted all 20 pages of the decree (I suppose as the comment was: Pages appear to be missing from the decree.)

I'm about to send everything but my evidence has my name misspelled in two places: greyhound tickets and hotel receipt. Is this gonna be a problem?!

Maybe. Or, maybe not.

Probably depends on the person doing the review.

On the USCIS.gov site, when I check on my/our status,... (I filed for an I-129F visa) it says on the site:

Your Current Case Status for Form I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

so.... these are government workers (no offense!) (Well... only if you see this comment online, here)

So, don't expect perfection. Don't expect excellence. And, don't expect consistency!

That's why so many variables get thrown around here.

There's no consistency with anything to do with these visas, it seems.

That may be because EVERY CASE IS DIFFERENT.

And, also because of the factors sited above.

Government sucks.

I keep tellin my colombiana that the gov in 'merica loves illegales, so go up to the coast and start walkin! lol

We got an RFE last week and got the hardcopy on Tuesday. We have to resend/rewrite our Intent to Marry letters. We're assuming that what they need is for us to change the way it's drafted. I think te best course of action is taking the item list described on the RFE and address them in the same order.

Honestly, I can't think of anything else to do on that subject besides signing them with blue ink and all that. They specifically requested our names and date under our signature. Is that really all there is to it?

Has anybody else had a similar case?

Thanks!

So was your signature and date on the Letter of Intent at all? The reason I inquire is because my fiance.. signed next to his printed name and dated the form at the top. Thanks.

It was signed but I think they also want you to put your name and the date you signed. That's what we've understood from the RFE letter. This time we're also making sure to sign in blue ink, it seems silly but apparently this also a big deal.

best of luck to you both.

Hi everyone!

We received the hardcopy of our RFE today. Ours is for lacking a signature on the G325A (Petitioner), to provide original statement statement for our letter of intent, and primary and secondary proof of meeting in person (copy of passport stamps, and receipt from hotels and ATM withdrawals)

The signature part is pretty easy but I just have a few questions about the other two;

1. We used the template for Letter of Intent to Marry that's available here on VJ, should we used it again and resend it or come up with our own?

2. Proof of meeting in person, we sent in what they are asking for on the RFE actually; Copies of his passport stamps and almost all hotel receipt from every hotel we stayed at while he's here, his boarding passes, itineraries of his trip, pictures of us together at landmarks here. The only one we didn't have in the packet is receipt from ATM withdrawals. His bank only allows him a years worth of history and it wont show the ATM withdrawals he made here since it's been over a year. What would happen is we'd be sending the same proofs in the RFE packet that we had in our initial K1 packet because it's all we have.

I was thinking maybe they misplaced items they are asking for or something, because we had everything included. Can anyone give any advice? Has anyone been ask to send in evidence you already included in the initial packet?

06-23-2011 -- Mailed K1 packet

06-24-2011 -- Received by USCIS

06-27-2011 -- NOA1

11-28-2011 -- RFE

01-03-2012 -- NOA2

02-28-2012 -- Medical (Passed)

03-01-2012 -- Interview (Approved)

03-16-2012 -- Visa printed

03-21-2012 -- Visa on hand

I'm not exactly sure when to put N/A versus none. Help please!

I haven't received an RFE yet, but I do remember someone here saying they received an RFE because he/she wrote "N/A" where he or she should have written "None". It sounds trivial, but. . . . it's worth making the distinction if failing to do so results in an RFE...
