hey there....

i went to my doctor yesterday, to get me some vaccinations, which i need for the I-129f visa.

I fell on my butt, when i heard how expensive the shots were...about $124 for 2 of them......WTH.... :(

i wanted to get all the shots, which i'll need for the AOS, in germany too.....but if there is the possibility to get it cheaper in the states, i'd rather wait until i am there!!!

Any experiences????

I don't know about germany but in Brazil we get them for free. They could probably be covered by health plan if you have any and also, they're also expensive in US, and furthermore, you'd need to check which vaccines you need 'cus some you must have before going to US, I think.

IN the states... I paid something Like $158 for all the shots they recommended to have before my first flight to Moldova ..Now I'm sure your shots are for another reason..but I would think the requirements would be similar.. I went to Central District Health.. Here in Idaho..

In Germany would there be certain Doctors that the embassy wants you to use ?

9/28 I Recieved NOA1(I-797C) in the mail

12/5 NOA2 12/6 but Approved on 12/5 touch

12/9 Received NOA2(I-797) by snail mail

12/15 NVC has received it..Case # issued...

12/19 NVC shipped to Romania

12/22 Romanian Embassy has received an email from NVC that my Petition is on it's way...

12/29 Packet 3 sent to Veronica

1/22 Sending all paperwork(I-134,Bank/Employer letters etc..,)..to Veronica per DHL, 3.5lbs...$144 WOW!

well, not necessarily for the vaccinations though, i just need to have my vaccination record for the medical......

i know about the shots that i HAVE to have for the K1, but $124 for just Mumps, Measles and Rubella, that's crazy!!!

Then i still have to get shots for the AOS: Pertussis, Influenza type B and Pneumococcal. But in germany there is no single shot for just Pertussis, which means, i would have to get Pertussis, Tetanus and diptheria toxoids in 1 shot, which will cost me again about $124 or more :(

so MAYBE i am lucky and it will be cheaper there, if not.....oh well.....i just don't like to throw out my money, if i can get it cheaper ;)
