Hey guys I know this has been asked a gazillion times but can anyone tell me if visa was printed on Friday morning if it will reach Montego Bay DHL by Tuesday? I'm not booking his flight yet but I just want to get an idea as to when he can be here. The plan is for him to pick up visa and then head to airport the same day. He doesn't want to make two trips to Montego Bay from Negril. I will pre - register him and pay the green card fee on the USCIS website before he gets on the plane. I hope they don't ask him for a receipt at POE.

Thanks much,

BethAnn

Hi Bethann I know it takes DHL like 2 business days to put the info in their system and then they will have to take it to mobay....I would give it until about wednesday but you should definitely get it by thursday....I didn't know you have to pay a green card fee after you have been approved....they certainly changed the process because years ago when I came here on a green card my mother didn't have to do that......I guess it's just another way for them to make money....this immigration thing is no joke they know people need to have their loved ones in their life and they are truly juicing us for all its worth....smh

If you do not have a waybill number, DHL has not picked up the packet for delivery.

Ok so once packet is picked up and waybill number assigned how long to reach Montego Bay?

My fiance flew out the same day he picked up his visa. A bit of advise, we booked about 3 hours before departure directly with the airline over the phone. He flew UnitedAir. It was pretty reasonable. He landed in Hartford. DHL may tell you the visa will be ready for pick up in the afternoon...this is their lazy answer. My fiance showed up bright and early and the visa was ready.
