Last night I recieved a text messege telling me my status was upgraded. Our I-130 was approved. Ive read some guides and think I understand what happens next, I just have a few questions. I know we are transfered to the NVC now, and I need to get my Affadavid of Support papers together, get my nvc case number, etc, and she has to do the DS-230 and etc. My questions are, are these mailed out to us seperately and we just complete them on our own, can I just get the forms and documents together and mail them out now? I was supossed to leave at the end of the month to spend 6 weeks visiting her, but thats not possible if I have to sit here and wait for the documents. How long should we expect to wait till her interview? Any tips on how this part of the process goes would be appreciated, thank you all!

Can the packages be sent from abroad or does it have to be from within the US?

Doesn't matter where the package is sent from; NVC just needs to receive it.

Will I receive XXXX (initial information package, invoices, instructions, interview letter, etc) by email or snail mail?

As long as you give over the email addresses of both the petitioner and beneficiary (once you have a case number), ALL correspondence from NVC will be sent through email. This does not necessarily mean that YOU can send THEM information by email though. Only those eligible for EP (electronic processing) can email the AOS and IV packages.

You can send papers to NVC from anywhere, they will contact you by email. Also, the form DS-230 is no longer used, it is the DS-260 and DS-261.

hope this helps!

The link to the NVC filers thread in the previous like you need to read ASAP. You have outdated information. NVC has changed quite a bit since September 1st. So please read post #1 and Post #2.
