Passport Husband Name vs Fathers Name

If anyone can help or give advise that would be great. My case has been shipped to NVC on the second of the month and going from history of the forum, I might get case number within the next week or so. The confusion I have is what to do with my wife's Pakistani passport. The Pakistani passport has a field for father's or husbands name. She currently has her father's name and not mine. Should we change it before sending copy to NVC? It will take a couple of weeks or maybe more and I don't want to delay the process too much. Is it even necessary to change because we can just change it later? Thanks

Sorry, I can't help you with this question, but I just wanted to say my fiance is in Pakistan too. And we just filled out the I-129F papers. When we came to the G325A - it must have taken her 30 minutes to figure out exactly what her mom and dad's first and last names were! Crazy name thing going on in Pakistan!!

I dont think it should matter when you filed the papers did you put her maiden name or married name? But I dont know what your country requires but I dont think it matters.

She is keeping her actual name, which isnt changing. It's just in Pakistani passports there is a separate field for Father/Husband Name and that is currently her father's name. I am also thinking it shouldnt matter but I dont know if it looks bad or they will deny visa because of it.
