Anymore December filers?

I sent my application (I-130) and they received it on the 12th according to USPS, hoping to get a NOA1 this week.

I'm from San Jose, CA so I'm wondering which Service Center I will end up in and if it will be good compared to the others.

California looks like is doing the processing the fastest.. next Nebraska.

I have seen people from CA on VJ, that were sent to Nebraska, I guess it doesn't really have a meaning where you live, so let's wait and we will see where they are going to send you :)

less filers might be better for us..

We sent our petition from overseas around thanksgiving and were routed to the nebraska service center. I believe we got our NOA1 on Dec 5th. We have been living overseas since we got married 7 years ago, with 3 kids, all citizens one of which was born in the US. I am hoping for a quick approval, we need to leave by May.

The USCIS received our petition on December 5....they cashed the check by 12/10 and I got the NOA1 via regular mail on 12/12. This part went fast - if only the rest of it can now!

Ours was sent to Vermont, so hoping for a transfer as I hear that is the most backed up branch. I am a US citizen from Pittsburgh and he is from Ontario, Canada.

Why not? Lots of people have gotten transferred

You can still get transferred depended on the back log of the servicing center.

hmm

this is how I understand it :

http://www.uscis.gov/news/alerts/workload-transfer-national-benefits-center-service-centers

USCIS recently began transferring some casework from the National Benefits Center to the Nebraska, Texas and California Service Centers to balance overall operational workload. The affected casework includes the following form:

http://www.uscis.gov/news/alerts/workload-transfer-various-forms

I-130, Petition for Alien Relative (F2A category for spouses and children of permanent residents) VSC to Nebraska Service Center (NSC)

so instead sending forms to NBC and then to other centers they are sending them already from lockbox with noa1 to one of these centers.. how it used to be.

I am not sure about Vermont.. maybe someone knows more smile.png or we will see what will happen to you and find out.

and did you see people transfered FROM Vermont to other Center?

smile.png

because I think you are confusing these things.. for about last year forms from lockbox were going to NBC.. and that created one big backlog.. so yes people have gotten transferred BUT from NBC to other service centers..

in October (I think) they got back to do as they used to do, which is : from lockbox straight to service center..

:)
