We got our NOA2 Oct 15th and had been calling NVC for case number at least twic a week but they told us that they have not received our file yet from USCIS so the supervisor adviced my fiancée to call USCIS she called them today and spoke to a supervisor who told her that our file has been sent to the consulate directly without going through NVC. Is that normal? Had anybody experienced this before? Is almost 2 months since we got approved and I heard the petition is only valid for 4 months from the date of approval. Please I will like to know if anyone had experience this in the past. Thanks every one.

@Gowon and Aus077, I hope to call the embassy on monday but I doubt that cos I have not seen anyone whose file was sent to embassy from USCIS without going through NVC.

Sorry but CSC is slow slow. Have you done a NVCresearch request? If not why do that.

Send to nvcresearch@state.gov be sure to scan your I-797C (NOA2) put in the Subject line Petition not receive at NVC after 7 weeks.

Write in body of email your date of approval and let them try and chase it down.

Thank you Dwheels I will do just that. I am actually a May filler from Vermont transferred to Texas service center. My timeline is confusing people and I just don't know how to get there and edit it to Texas. Thanks for the tip.

The service centers do not generate diplomatic pouches. All K1's pass through NVC to get into pouches which gets them their country specific ID's Because NVC doesn't really process anything on them it isn't considered part of the step and always confuses people

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
