I told him its frustrating when others who in jan 2014 or feb and even march have gotten approved. I asked him about why is that, he say sit depends on the work load of each officer, what they have.

Thanks for reporting to us what he said on your phone call! Why don't they just take a stack of applications from the officers who have a huge workload and distribute them to the ones who don't!? Unbelievable.

I mean some officers obviously aren't backed up at all! I saw a girl today in another thread who got her NOA2 after just 15 DAYS!!

If I had to guess, and I dont have to but will... they dont redistribute the load because they get points for each app they submit and in their end of year reviews they get somewhere between a 0 and 3% raise for being good workers!

If person A takes on more cases, especially cases like ours that are already late, metrics don't look so good!

And yes it is ridiculous.

Haha! That's probably true DRbound! So what you're saying is, that all of us who are still pending have been taken on by ambitious but incompetent people. Great!

Have question? there not asking for affidavit of support with RFE so do should I send one with RFE or wait till they ask for it?

the affidavit of support isn't needed until after you get the NOA2 and is for the interview stage…so, that wouldn't be something that they'd send an RFE for in the initial packet you sent out.

I am the petitioner.

Thought I'd let you all know something a congressional aid told me today. I went to my congressman's district office today to ask if they could put in a request since I'm at 6 months since NOA1. I have to say it's so much nicer meeting with someone in person than over the phone. People are just more helpful when you meet with them in person.

While there, I asked him if it actually helps to put in a congressional inquiry. And he said it sure does. He said, "we obviously can't tell them what to do but they have a staff dedicated to answering congressional inquiries. And since they're less busy than the normal customer service people - when we submit a request they actually look into it and that usually helps speed things up a bit."

So, if you've been hesitating as I did for too long to put in an inquiry - do so ASAP!!

Katiuska, you should definitely ask him to call now! No reason to wait until next week - you'll just lose another week. You're already past 5 months. So he should get them on it right now! Once they submit an inquiry you'll have to wait another week or so anyway - so why not start the ball rolling now?
