It was a long journey but we received our approval today from the embassy.

We mailed our original packet on 12/3/12 but it was not processed until a 2nd packet was sent and received 2 months later, 2/4/13.

Both were accepted at once, including the checks. That may have slowed the process some for us as we had to have one of the packages canceled. We got our Senator involved at the 5 month mark and it still took another 3 months with the senator's aide finally requesting an expedite, which was honored.

After that, it moved extremely fast. And now we are approved!

Congrats!!!!!! it's crazy how slow was 2012 for vj members. when I applied on 2011 everything was much faster, but hopefully it will be like it used to be! It's an amazing feeling reaching that milestone. I hope u the rest for the of your journey
