good luck to you all. were planning to mail ours out tomorrow. i do have a question if any of you know the answer. i am the petitioning spouse for my wife, i was naturalized when i was like 10 years old. i am a u.s. citizen now. on part 3 of the i-751 form, do i stll need to put alien registration number for myself? or do i leave it blank since i am a u.s. citizen?

We received the NOA1 yesterday. Should I be concerned that they haven't taken the fee from my bank account yet? The NOA1 serves as a receipt for the $590, but no sign of them actually getting the money. Anyone had a similar timeline for the processing of the fee?

Hi jaynell, welcome to our thread. We are happy to have you.

As far as your question goes, logic would lead one to believe that you are either a USC or an PR with an A#. So you could argue that you do not need to list it. However, I believe your naturalization certificate has an A# on it. Why not play it on the safe side and write it in? They can use it to track you back to the naturalization certificate, and that is just more proof that you are in fact a USC. You could always add a note in your cover letter stating that you are a naturalized citizen as well.

I am sorry that I do not have a definitive answer to your question. I hope I didn't just confuse things more. If someone out there has some experience with this I would love to hear your feedback.

Hi and welcome icarolina. We actually had a delay with our check when we applied for the K-1 visa. It is the weekend. Maybe it is just in a hold pattern because the banks are closed. I would not worry about it unless you do not see it clear next week. Keep us posted. :)

I think they are pretty used to that jaynell. Some A#'s are only 7 didgits. Just leave the first box blank so it is clear you have an 8 digit number. Well, that is what I would do. But I do not claim to be an expert. ;)

You can literally just show up and do it any day? Did they say anything about your January appointment?

I think it depends on who you talk to, or on how busy it is. The location I went to was not very busy, so the agent let me go ahead. They did not say anything about it (my Jan. appointment) other than in the future, if I want to change my appointment I need to follow the instructions found at the bottom of the letter.

Took about 15 min. total.
