I-751 December 2013 Filers

A glimmer of hope: I was an early October filer, had my interview (divorce waiver) at the start of July. She mentioned something about having forgotten to do background checks on a bunch of packets (mine being one of them) and told me it shouldn't be too long. Three weeks later, I'm still looking at "Initial Review" on the case status page, and nothing but spam comes in the mail. Sometimes they forget stuff, and we are the forgotten, but we're still here, doing what we do, and getting closer to the big N-date. Stay cool, stay persistent, and life will come to you.

Thanks, MrsP2010 for the encouragement. Just gonna wait on God's time. It is sickening that they put us through these long wait. I am not gonna wait for my Driver License to expire. Between now to end of August, i am going to do an infopass. :protest:

I also saw another one from November got approved. That's a sign of hope for us. DMVs here in Mississippi are stupid. They don't even know what I-551 stamp on passport means. I think I might have to switch state just to get the Drivers License. I wish I could find a job in some other state or hear something for USCIS.

It's interesting but is it only you me waiting from the December group?

And thanks to MrsP2010 that means a lot us.

Intergalactic, we are about 4-5 persons in the December group awaiting some form of response or update on our case. Bet some people figure just to wait in silence. They are venting internally.

Ok folks. To allay my frustration, i got an infopass for today. I am actually sitting less than a minute walk from the USCIS ASC in Durham. I lost my extension letter so i was in there to have my passport stamp and find out about my case. The immigration guy told me that my card is been produced already. That moment i was experiencing a tachycardia. He said my approval letter has been sent out and i should look out in the mail. He said the delay in cases depends on the nature of the case, the evidence presented and the officer who is looking at your case. So i was able to get my passport stamped good till august 2015. Now the juicy part is going to be when i get the approval note and card in the mail. Lets keep praying. It is going to be okay my December folks and all those who are awaiting. :goofy:

:dancing: Today turns out to be a wonderful day. Our wait game seems to be over already. My little sister just called me and told me i got a letter from USCIS.. Told her to send me a picture of the letter since i am not home. It reads " Congratulations. Your request for the removal of conditional basis of your permanent resident status has been approved. You are deemed to be a lawful permanent resident of the USA" and all the blabber and my card will arrive within 60 days. There is still no update online though. So the immigration officer was right. :rofl: I Pray that everyone gets their approval letter very very soon. Approval date is 08/02/2014.

Today turns out to be a wonderful day. Our wait game seems to be over already. My little sister just called me and told me i got a letter from USCIS..
