I was interviewed last October 21, 2013 and it's been more than 6 weeks of waiting and my status is under "Administrative Processing". The interview was smooth. I answered all the questions correctly. After my interview, I was asked to wait at window 78 and the girl incharged gave me 221g white form and marked the "WAIT UNTIL YOU WILL HEAR FROM US". The embassy kept all my documents as well as my passport. Please help me... Is anyone there can tell me the processing time for this? please...Thanks and God bless

Sorry to hear you're still waiting for results of your interview. Have you tried calling the embassy and inquiring about your case? Probably far from the reason but how close did you do the medical from your interview schedule? Can you think of anything that they might be extra curious about that needs further "investigation"?

I was there on the 21st with my fiance for her interview. Did the American consul indicate to

you that you were missing documents? Because when it gets to window 78 they tell you

what you needed and why a 221g was being issued.

No one can tell you the processing time, hard to sit and wait I know, and the embassy isn't going to tell you anything even if you call or email.

The CO saw something that raised a red flag until that is resolved you have to wait... so as they said - wait until you hear from the embassy.

There are a few under AP right now, some for a couple months and still waiting.

I had the same experience with you..My interview went smooth and both consuls asked less than 5 questions..When the American consul told me to go back to my seat and wait for my name to be called, i asked him if i am approved...He told me that all my papers are good..

The lady at the counter 72 called my name and she told me that all my papers are good..nothing is lacking but i am on AP..After 2 weeks on AP, my husband asked help from Senator Reid's office and in return, his office sent a Privacy Release form to the US Embassy in Manila..3 weeks after my case changed to Ready for 1week from AP, then it changed to Issued..

PS...I was not given any 221g form...

Embassy saw something that needs additional review with your documents, I was put on AP before but only for 1 day and changed to Issued the next day, just my son's late medical submission from st. Luke's. But anyway no paper was handed to me. Now, you can call the embassy at around 3pm...i did that before, search for the direct number, i did that before cause I am impatient at times. This is better than sitting there with a big question mark on your head, when you inquire your case status, they ask for your case number and actually on ceac the date updates, means somebody check it for you, who knows they will do something about it soon, sometimes it sits for a while. It's been over a month now, you will get it soon I hope. Good thing, they keep your passport. Good luck..

I emailed them and they just told me that they're conducting further administrative investigation and review about my case. I did my medical examination 2 weeks before my interview. I don't have any idea because I only had 5-10mins of interview. It was good and smooth. Do you think I'm denied? They kept my passport.

No documents were asked from me. She just gave me a white 221g form and no document was checked. She highlightened the "WAIT UNTIL YOU HEAR FROM US", that all. Thank for the reply

I'm sorry you're in such a frustrating situation but there's really nothing more anyone could tell you.

It's a good thing that they kept your passport, now, monitor your case status here: https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/

See if there are changes in the "status updated date".

Is the status updated date changing? If yes, that's another good sign because it means that they are actually going thru your case file.

In regards with the Visa Status "Administrative Processing," based on anyone's experience, under what circumstance(s) would delay the Visa release?

My fiance and I have only met in person for a period of 9 days when he was here in the Philippines last September 2012...would that situation be iffy under the US/Philippines Embassy standards?

It's what my fiance and I assumed in the first place; hence the prolonged delay...
