Ok.Will try sending the evidences once NVC no is received.I did not select Armenia and Texas service . Trying to change it.

Looks like you finally got that fixed on your timeline ;) Don't forget about filling in your profile as well!

And don't send the evidence as soon as you get a case number. You include the evidence in the IV package.

Hi Saylin, is it ok that my husband will fill up the I-864 forms now while we wait for our case #?

And do I need a PCC from Cyprus?...I worked there for 7 mos.

Thanks in advance.

Yup! It's actually suggested to get the forms ready now while you're waiting so you don't waste time later when you're able to send it.

There's some discrepancy between needing a PCC after 6 months (what operators are saying) or 12 months (what it says on their website). It might just be a good idea to get it, just in case, so you don't get a checklist for it later.

It takes a month and a half to get an interview? Is this normal processing? Or just Bulgaria?

Completely normal. Although it differs in each country, interviews are typically 1-3 months after case complete. the global average being around 2 months.

Hi Saylin..I read that its advisable to call NVC for the case number and Invoice number..If we ever have that, can we start doing the next steps (like payment etc..) or do we need to wait for the hardcopy from NVC?

Once you have your case number and IIN, that's all you need. The correspondence you get from NVC is the same thing you'll get over the phone. If you want to waste time and wait, go ahead. But once the AOS bill has been invoiced, there's nothing stopping you from paying it right away.

Hi All,

I have a question. I'm the principal applicant ie beneficiary and in the process of the filling the DS 261 form. The form says that i may choose an agent to receive all the correspondence of the visa application on my behalf. I was going to appoint myself (so i can deal with all the necessary paperwork myself) however the form also says they strongly advise us to provide a US address. I obviously dont live in US. so now I am not sure if it is better to put down my husband as the agent (who lives in States) or myself.

What is your suggestion? What kind of documents will they send to me? It'll be useless if i need to hold on to the documents for further processing but NVC sent the documents to my husband and he will have to resend them to me.

Thanks you!!

>just put your husband as the agent and give NVC your and your husband email so they can contact you by email

> this is my situation..

I'm confused with this one too., I put my name (beneficiary) as the principal applicant yet the address is my husband's address in USA.. When they sent me the aivf for neopost ds-1200, my name is written and my husband's address below, do you think it's just fine or we have to change it? I mean do we have to call NVC about this? And also if this is fine, it is okay too if my husband will be the one to pay the IV fee online since I don't have an account. Thank you so much.

Majority of the time the USC pays all the fees since they have to be drawn from a US bank account.

Your USCIS number doesn't change and it'll be that number you give to the NVC until they provide you with a DOS/NVC number. Wait at least a week after NOA2 online to call the NVC, bebpolite and ask if they have your case yet. If they say no, be polite and say thank you and hang up. I suggest calling every few days vs everyday because they do log when you call. Just always be polite and take no for the answer if they give it.

everything was going on correctly before....what can be the reason for this?????
