Why does it matter B2 vs K1 or CR1?

I understand that LEGALLY and per USCIS regulations one must utilize any visa exactly how it is intended to be used. My question is what difference does it make to a CO if one is coming to US to visit one's Fiance or boyfriend on a B2 for example, but there is a possibility that he/she would end up marrying said Fiance or boyfriend?

Please do not reply about the legal implications, etc. I am just talking logistics and business sensibility here. Why don't they have one fee structure, checklist (health, criminal history, financial stability, etc) requirement for anyone who is sponsored by a US citizen?

(Moderator, please move to appropriate forum if I have this in the wrong place)

Perhaps because a visitor who has no intention to immigrate on his tourist visa would not feel it was fair

to go through 3 kinds of hell with all the K1 requirements an intending immigrant has to face.

Logic and efficiency with good business sense and USCIS / DOS is like oil and water. It just does not mix.

Something always floats to the top.

You are assuming that everyone who visits knows a US citizen and that's not true. Visitors come for many reasons. Some people come here for medical reason to seek medical care, To see if they want to live here and check out the land scape or go see all our wonderful sites. No one sponsors anyone for a visitor visa.

And also No CO is stopping anyone from coming here and marrying everyone does that. What you think Vegas is for. i know that's what me and my husband were going to do. The problem is now they are here and they may adjust status or some not doing things legal at all just disappear into the crowd. That's why many countries like the ones we are from have a hard time getting visitor visas because those before us F'd it up and violated the rules and didn't come back. I am sure you know someone who came here on visitor or student visa and never went back. This is why the CO , CBP do what they do.

I was referring to the B2 visas vs.marriage or fiance visas or visas that require you to have a sponsor. For example, why would someone be denied a B2 the moment they mention that they have a boyfriend or fiance in the US? Does it matter either way? Why don't they just collect their money and paperwork and send you on your way?

Because the risk of immigrating plain and simple. And even with an active petition in the works too many have just come and disappear and never filed. Look at the dang logjam we now have of illegals in this country. I know of at least 10 immigrates from India and Nigeria here who came here and overstayed never left they weren't married to a USC and they are just making it.

And high fraud forget about it. Because what if he or she is a fraudster they come to visit you really think they will go back. The risk is too high. If they allowed everyone with an active petition access to visit one the rate would skyrocket because every scammer in the world would then find his hook or hookie and get the to the US fast fast.

Also whats scary about a visiotr visa you don't have to get shots or submit a police report how crazy is that ish.

I know it seems unfair and we say "why won't they let them visit' But the risk of not doing things right is too high a risk. Countries that behave and people return are rewarded with VWP and ESTA programs. Maybe when our countries do the same than we can jump on the ban wagon. However that been said they too get turned away at the border when they have an active petition sometimes also.

I think it would be much cleaner if they just closed the loophole for those that walk in on VWP/visitors visa and claim to be struck by the marrying bug. Let everyone be fully vetted in their home country. After all they didn't intend on staying when they arrived ( bullshit ) The current system gives on unfair advantage to white people and disfavors minorities.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Yes. Why don't they assume that that visitors might stay anyway and have a mechanism in place to deal with that. Instead of allowing some to come and others not to be able to get in based on nothing but "gut" feeling.

.

I was not aware of this. Now, that is bull!
