guys.. my fiancee has external hemorrhoids (like a size of a pea) but it doesn't bother her at all.. she's becoming so worried about her upcoming medical exam on january... will she have it removed through surgery? will it cause her not to pass the medical examinations?

thank you guys...

Sorry, I don't know anyone.

SLEC is more concerned about the xray results because of tuberculosis (TB).

I had warts the size of a pea, maybe about 5 or 8 pieces on some parts of my external body...I had them taken by a surgeon as a minor operation one month before my medical exam with SLEC for my piece of mind.

Sorry it should be peace of mind.

Are they contagious? If not then don't worry about it. ;)

SLEC is only interested in communicable disease's of public health significance. In other words disease's that are contagious, like HIV, emerging infectious diseases, TB or unanticipated outbreaks overseas such as SARS or any new pandemic influenza virus. They are not interested in "common" symptoms like hemorrhoids, breast lumps or skin cancer. Though they are a medical facility, and they will be doing a routine examination, it is not uncommon for them to "find" something that they will bring to your attention so that you can seek medical care through a family physician.

Many of us are overly paranoid of this entire Visa process and when you finish you'll find that you need not be.

Sit back, relax and enjoy the excursion. IMHO you will learn a lot about the process. Good Luck.

Do you have a government source that includes hiv as part of what they test for?
