Hello out there to all you Visa Journey Guru's!

I am hoping someone out there can offer some advice if they have found it to be advantageous to be at the "long awaited" interview with your Fiancee, or are you even allowed to join in that interview or not?

I would think that it would carry some weight but I would love to have some definitive answers.

Depends on the policy of the interviewing embassy/consulate, some require petitioner attendance, some do not allow it. Check your specific embassy/consulate information page for details. If you can go, go and support your loved one during this important event on your immigration journey. There have been numerous threads written about this very topic, review past threads using the forum's Custom Google search function. You will be able to find many definitive answers as a result of you doing a little researching. good.gif

Petitioners are allowed in for the interview in New Delhi but not in Mumbai. It is very beneficial if you attend as you can answer any questions the CO may have about the petitioner and/or clarify anything else. I plan on attending with my husband.

I am the petitioner.
