Medical question

My fiance and I have just had his case sent to the embassy, and we were talking about the medical he will have, we admitted to taking a hit off of a joint back in July. Of course I am throwing a fit and he is wanting to know what type of testing do they typically perform. Has enough time passed where it is no longer detectable, he is telling me that because of his metabolism and the fact he is skinny and plans to drink plenty of water, we have nothing to worry about.

Mere admittance is enough to get a visa denial.

The good thing is, the ban has been reduced to a year.

not sure about Finland, but my country doesn't do drug testing. and I know how much you guys want to get the k1 process finished, but its still best to be honest when he is asked about past drug use, or about anything, for that matter.

Drug screenings are not done routinely for all, but they can be ordered randomly. They had my husband, and a few others he saw there do a urine drug test, and he has never used drugs.

My husband had his medical in Helsinki in June this year -- they did take his blood for some sort of test, but he's not sure what for. He vaguely remembers a bunch of routine questions about his health history/overall health, one of which may have been drug-related (he doesn't use any, so we didn't pay any real attention to the issue). Neither of us has any recollection of a specific question, and there was certainly no emphasis or notification given that they would test for drugs, but I do think it's a random or slight possibility. I'm sorry I can't be more specific -- it wasn't an issue for us so we didn't worry about it, but I would say there is in fact a POSSIBILITY that they would test, given the blood draw.

If it helps, he does remember that there was no urine sample/test of any kind, so I don't know if that rules out a drug test or not? No idea if drug tests are blood or urine.
