That's a typical misleading and bureaucratic double talk again. The statement passed the responsibilities to the local service centers and failed to monitor their progress and resources needed. NSC is by far the slowest one in adjudicating stand-along apps. It is the failure of the top USCIS leadership to devise a fair and equitable system to process ALL applications in the order of their receipt. Simply shuffling apps around and not ensure the apps are reviewed and adjudicated in a orderly fashion is just a smoke and mirror tactic.

i haven't been waiting as long as others, but this process doesn't make sense to me. Filing a petition is just to determine if you are eligible or not, as a fiance or a spouse. I understand running checks on Marriage Certificates, Divorce decrees, etc but why background checks when in order to get your passport, your country already does that and you still have to prove with a police clearance. Seems USCIS likes to run in circles, take your money and just sit on this cases and deal with them in order to fill a quota or something.

Instead of sending them out to various service centers, why not hire more people to adjudicate? I have no record, not even a traffic violation as I am sure others as well.

The whole process bothers me as the wait times for each step seem so ridiculously awful.

At this point, I don't think it'll be a big help. But I'm seriously considering doing at least a consultation.

You should be fine. You have a Philippine beneficiary. They seem to be pulling and processing all of those at a much faster rate than the rest of us.

I"m the beneficiary lol

And yes, I hope so. We been so unlucky with visas. I had to apply for a tourist visa twice before I got approved. Went to the US to visit my bf, got knocked up then married. My husband and his family was insisting that I just adjust my status but I didn't want to be like those women who conveniently "forgot" to fly back home. They're still upset about that esp with a baby on the way and with these delays I'm kinda regretting my decision. Bad enough to not have my husband by my side when the baby is born, but to spend the majority of the first year of our dauhter's life apart, just makes me want to get on a time machine and make different choices.

Nope still waiting as well. Got transferred to NSC on 12/3. PD is 4/18. Only about halfway to the 60 day mark. Only thing we know is it's been assigned and in work. Hopefully we all get good news soon. I'm ready to have my wife here ASAP...
