I spend $17.000 yes seventeen thousand dollars traveling to Bosnia four times in past 15 months, and if i knew how corrupted USCIS was i would just offer them $10.000 to speed up my case. If they found that much money in my case i'm pretty sure they would do it. In money we trust, that's how things work in this country.

@ Avery Cates

They process K1 in less then 6 months, because they make more money on those cases. There is nothing else to it.

There was a CO caught for taking bribes in some Asian country.

Not sure how they make money just on I129f.

our backlog makes up 25% of that.

So now you understand why cases are being transferred to additional processing centers to have more hands adjudicating them.

Congratulations, you're well on your way to understanding now!

That it does, no matter which visa you're petitioning for. Everyone's in the same boat on that one.

You're doing a fine job of being condescending. You are aware that our complaint is that this wasn't done sooner.

You are wrong. There is so much more fees other then K1 petition fee. But i don't feel like explaining it now. Look it up. They make more money off of K1, then I130....

A lot of families missed their "turn on the wheel" as you put it - husbands, wives, and kids are forced apart. Don't you agree that the response to a growing backlog could be addressed more efficiently?

I certainly do. But, it's going to take some real change from the top down for that to ever happen.

Hello all,

I feel sorry for all of us who have applied in a legal way and following all the USCIS terms. To you all, please hang in there, call your representatives (not one all), share your stories with others in community etc. That is how things can change. There is no fairness in this system. Some people got their cases approved in 19 days, some 28 days, some 40+... Us takng well over 6 months and others worse over 9 monthe just USCIS part.

Wish best to all of us.

That's a stretch. It's a government process, which means it's slow to react, but that's not nearly the same as "corrupted."

I would argue that when they purposely pull new petitions out of the pile and process them prior to those that have been lagging for 6 months or more, so statistically they can manipulate the data to make it look like the processing time is almost cut in half, I would call that corrupt.
