It has been received as you got back the return receipt. Next watch for the check to be cashed--assuming you used a personal check. Then you will get the NOA1. Just remember that Thanksgiving is coming up and next week has 3 work days and most people take vacation to get a week for the price of 3 vacation days. So I would not count next week at all in any work getting done. You should receive something within 30 days. Also remember that the week between Christmas and New Years is a throw away too and since both are on Wednesday it is not quite as bad as next year when they will be on Thursday. With al that said, I would not really expect anything until about the 6th of January. It may come faster. As for the approval of the petition, the NOA2, you are looking at right now about 6-9 months. So find a hobby and begin the waiting.

I wonder given all the waiting time why we waste our money to send the applications in via express mail.devil.gif I did the same thing, but I did waive the signature requirement as it is going to a PO Box and I had tracking so I knew when it was delivered. Since the beneficiary is from the PI, you do make above the poverty guidelines now or will by the time the petition is approved and you go for the actual visa. If not, you might want to begin the process of looking for a co-sponsor and hope the PI accepts one for your case--they have been known to not accept a co-sponsor for the K-1 visa.

Good luck,

Dave
