Alien Registration Number Changed?

Hi All,

I filed the 129F and have my case number. I received an email today saying my case had been updated, and on the website to see status, it said: On November 21, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E).

What does this mean, how do I get the ARN and why do I need it? Any help is appreciated!

My understanding is Alien Registration number is for the USCIS could track all the records but also to apply resident card when everything get approved. They have created a number for your fiancee which is good they are looking into your application

MIne was changed the day after I got my NOA1, so I think it's just the first step in the process there. I haven't heard anything since then. That was November 1st. Good luck to you! I'm also applying for an Egyptian fiance.
