1. find out where the casefile is with an ISO at the USCIS National Call Center.

2. if it's at a local office, get an infopass appointment there, then ask to speak with the I-130 Adjudication Unit Supervisor. Don't waste time with the human behind the glass, they are useless .

The latest processing times for standalone IR I-130s is ~12 - 14 months; you should hopefully hear something soon, but right now are within normal processing times.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

well, it depends if your spouse is an US citizen or just a permanent resident, because I've read when you marry a permanent resident it takes longer, and are you living in the US right now? because that also could make a longer process

well, it depends if your spouse is an US citizen or just a permanent resident, because I've read when you marry a permanent resident it takes longer, and are you living in the US right now? because that also could make a longer process

6/20/2014- IV invoice email (but fee still locked on CEAC )

6/23/2014- IV fee finally unlocked and paid.

It's taking 5 months for the spouse of permanent resident to get their i130 approved.

You are out of normal processing times, I suggest you do all of the following:

1. Call USCIS and put a service request (most likely need Tier-2 for this)

2. Email USCIS Ombudsman

3. Reach out to your state's US Congressman/Senator

That is severely messed up in SO MANY ways. How are LPR getting priority over US Citizens.

That is severely messed up in SO MANY ways. How are LPR getting priority over US Citizens.

We've been over this in other threads, once the LPR's get their approval they go to the NVC where they have to wait many months and sometimes years for their PD's to become current before the NVC will even touch them (this is due to caps on LPR family visas to slow so-called "chain migration"). Citizens, however, get their petitioner processed immediately since there are no caps on our family visas. In all fairness LPR's should be processed faster because they have a long wait time ahead at the NVC. I am all against illegals getting any consideration at all, but LPR's are legal immigrants to this country and they deserve the same considerations that we get.

I-130 Sent: 11 November 2013

I-130 1st i-797(NOA-1): 12 November 2013, Vermont (Dis-)Service Center (1 day in transit)

I-130 2nd i-797(NOA-2): 30 May 2014, Vermont (Total Dis-)Service Center (199 days in USCIS hell)

I-30 Received at NVC: 11 June 2014 (11 days in transit)

NVC Case # Assigned: 27 June 2014 (15 days to case number assigned)

DS-261 Completed: 15 July 2014 (18 days to DS-261 available)
