NY offices seem to be fairly erratic. Hang in there ! It should be just around the corner

I'm in the same boat and in NYC. I was put "in line" on Jan. 20th. Haven't heard anything yet. I think we probably have the slowest office of these United States. Never thought I'd be this anxious about the whole process!

The New York City (Manhattan Office) is extremely backed up. I have a priority date of 9/27 and I was placed in line for interview on 11/18/13. It has been over 4 months now, but according to tier 2 officers I am still within the "normal processing time" for that particular office. I have made an info pass for next week. Lets see what happens. the Manhattan office is notorious for being extremely back-logged. However I do agree with Raza123, its fairly erratic since there are people who have gotten interview dates even though they filed in Dec.

Hang in there, it will happen for all of us, but it will just take longer for those of us who filed through the NYC Manhattan field office

I found out that my husband will also be dealing with the NYC field office, even though he did his Bio-metrics in Hicksville (which is an Application Support Center).

Got the below info off the website.

Field Office Processing Dates for NYC (as of 1/31/14):

Form Form Name Processing Timeframe:

I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status June 12, 2013

N-400 Application for Naturalization August 12, 2013

N-600 Application for Certification of Citizenship March 9, 2013

So it looks like, for the most part, us NYC folks are going to be waiting for awhile. Let's hope that we are the exception to the rule...

DebbyNSeyi I saw that and wasn't sure what the Aug 12th date meant. Does that mean that as of January 2014 they were doing oath ceremonies for people who submitted their applicaiton on August 12th? Or does it mean that as of January 2014 they were interviewing those people? It makes a difference since an oath ceremony can take about an additional month to get through. Thanks for any insight!

"However, if that office is taking longer than our processing goal to handle the form type in question, you will see the filing date (e.g., "April 10, 2003") of the last case we processed on the date the website chart was last updated. The charts are updated on or about the 15th day of each month."

Based on the highlighted text above (which I copied from the "processing times" page), it sounds like - and I could be wrong - that as of Aug 12th, they completed processing of those cases - Meaning: Done. Oath taken. New citizen. But, you are correct. It's not that clear.

Also, don't forget that these dates are provided on a considerable lag. For instance, the last updates to processing times at local field offices were provided as of the thirty-first of January, over two months ago. Something to bear in mind when forecasting delays in your own cases.

Well I'm in NY and (after I finally did a walk-in bio, initially they had booked it on a federal holiday), they send me the interview letter a couple days later.

Not sure it's NY then...

My interview is so close I don't really have time to study as I will be travelling for work and to see family during the next week or two... kinda worried about studying.

NY offices seem to be fairly erratic. Hang in there ! It should be just around the corner

Done today - 05/09/14! It's been a long journey... that I was more than ready to be done with it...
