I would say that it's cheaper for USCIS to send a copy rather then printing it on the old style of papers. Saving money. I could be wrong but it makes sense to me lol.

Hey everyone,

Today i received a yellow letter, just saying that they have done a pre-interview processing of my N=400 application and that there is additional documents needed and to bring these doc with me to the interview.

Mind you , i have not yet received an interview letter.

This yellow letter only says to bring to the interview proof of termination of previous marriages for me and my spouse, which i had already submitted on the N-400 application, for both me and my husband.

It doesn't name any other documentation to bring.

I am confused because i had already submitted all those documents when i first applied for naturalization.

Should i be concerned?. Does everyone get a yellow letter?

Don't be concerned, It's nothing to worry about. Just take the divorce papers again worn you to the interview. If the officer asks about it (I highly doubt it, but possible) you give it to him if he doesn't don't mention anything about it since you sent it with your n400. I advice you to take new bills or bank statements with you, The officer might want to see new evidence (that happened to me, Thank God I had them with me).

Thanks a lot. I also read is pretty normal to receive these standard letters. I was just wondering why it only ask for that and nothing else like passports, ID, drivers license , etc

I will take tHe papers anyway as you say just in case, along with taxes, and some other bank statements, credits card, etc..even though we have had already sent all proof when we did ROC.

Now I'm waiting for my IL. Will keep posted

Finally got my yellow letter to bring additional docs(ONLY DRIVERS LICENSE) to my interview (applied based on 5yrs).. Been looking everyday for it cause it seems like the majority of the people get a yellow letter shortly before an interview letter!!!

Hi Everybody! I am new to the forum and was reading all your stories and progress!

I was wondering though how some of you mention you receive a text or email. Do we have to sign up to get that? Or are they pulling the phone # and email address from our N400 form to text and email us.

You can sign up for email and texts at the USCIS website. You just need to create a login and would need the application number that you receive on your NOA. Hope this helps. Good luck!

I read some people get it and some don't. Don't know the reason why this is. I got one like I stated above and says to bring divorce papers. It doesn't list anything else to bring.

Ok so i passed my interview. Heres hiw it went.

We arrrived right at 9 am. We got through security and checked in at 9:10. At the counter they took my fingerprints from both imdex fingers and took my photo for verification. The officer came out and called me back at 9:15. The interview lasted about an hour because he couldnt get his computer to work to check me in for the interview. He said that i was already scheduled for the oath ceremony so it wouldnt allow me to be checked in for interview. So i was approved before i even arrived. But what took so long was he kept restarting the computer thinking it was an error in his computer. The question i had to read was what state has the most people. And i had to write California is the state with the most people. I was only asked 6 civics questions which were if the president can no longer serve who becomes president, how old you must be to vote, what was the major issue during the cold war, i cant remember the rest. Everything was fine till an isse came up with my name being different in my passport thsn my green card. But all he said was my legal name was what was in my passport. Didnt want that to happen but at least ill be a citizen and i can get it fixed at a later date. After it was all over i was handed the paper saying i passed everything and the time to go back for the oath which is 1:30 pm. Were staying at the mason inn in fairfax. Its 15 min away from the field office. No compaints. About hotel. Were heading back at 12:45. Ill post about the ceremony afterwards. Immediatly after we leave the oath ceremony we will be heading to the passport office in hopes of getting a same day passport ^_^ ill post more later

Ok so i passed my interview. Heres hiw it went.

We arrrived right at 9 am. We got through security and checked in at 9:10. At the counter they took my fingerprints from both imdex fingers and took my photo for verification. The officer came out and called me back at 9:15. The interview lasted about an hour because he couldnt get his computer to work to check me in for the interview. He said that i was already scheduled for the oath ceremony so it wouldnt allow me to be checked in for interview. So i was approved before i even arrived. But what took so long was he kept restarting the computer thinking it was an error in his computer. The question i had to read was what state has the most people. And i had to write California is the state with the most people. I was only asked 6 civics questions which were if the president can no longer serve who becomes president, how old you must be to vote, what was the major issue during the cold war, i cant remember the rest. Everything was fine till an isse came up with my name being different in my passport thsn my green card. But all he said was my legal name was what was in my passport. Didnt want that to happen but at least ill be a citizen and i can get it fixed at a later date. After it was all over i was handed the paper saying i passed everything and the time to go back for the oath which is 1:30 pm. Were staying at the mason inn in fairfax. Its 15 min away from the field office. No compaints. About hotel. Were heading back at 12:45. Ill post about the ceremony afterwards. Immediatly after we leave the oath ceremony we will be heading to the passport office in hopes of getting a same day passport happy.png ill post more later

Congrats on passing the interview, must be a great feeling to be done with USCIS!

I should hopefully be getting my in-line notification sometime soon, it's 30 days until my 3 year anniversary.

Wasn't able to update Biometric date we walked in last Thursday 30 Jan 2014 with our 7 Jan 2014 letter and after waiting for 10 people with appt's we got her fingerprints done. Just went to USCIS Site today an interview apt date has been made just need to wait and see when the apt will be when the I-797 gets here.
