Hi: I just received my NOA2 snail mail. in the body it says the petition has been approved and forwarded to the "listed consulate." I am a bit unclear. I thought it was to go to the NVC. Thus, my question, has everyone else's said the same thing but really it goes to the NVC??? Or has everyone else's said in the body of their NOA2 that it goes to the NVC?

Please let me know...thanks!!!

It is on it's way to the consulate "Through" the NVC.

Give it about 2 weeks and contact NVC for the Department of State case number and status.

My NOA2 clearly says it was sent to the NVC, if you were granted expedited handling, yours may go directly to the consulate and bypass the NVC.

We saw the same thing on Petitions coming out of vermont a couple of mon ths back. All the petitons go through the NVC. The electronic version goes out to the consulate long before the package. Be patient, times differ from 2 weeks to a month or more to get otu of the NVC to the consulate. We all wish there were more concrete procedurtes and time lines but there is not. Ken & maria

Mine said going to the consulate... I emailed the consulate and they said they had gotten it yet. I called and talked to a live person at NVC and they don't have it either. I emailed the NVC also and the reply said no record of my N0A2. The lady I talked to at NVC said she didn't know where my N0A2 was but that I should give it another 10 days and to call them back after Xmas to check again. When I told her that I would call the HELP line for USCIS, she laughed. My N0A2 was approved by CSC on 27 November 2006 and until now it has not reached the NVC or the Consulate. I emailed someone who's much further into the process than me that had a similiar situation with their N0A2 saying that ti was going to the consulate but his, in fact, when through the NVC first.... and his took almost a month from CSC to NVC. So I'm hoping mine will reach the NVC soon.

Same wording on my NOA2, "listed consulate" my NVCInquiry email response said they have no record and to contact USCIS for status. The NVC people don't seem to know, they insist that many do bypass the NVC, but I wonder how they know many bypass the NVC if it bypassed them??? But of course the USCIS people know nothing about it either.

NOA1 - 12/21/15

NOA2 - 04/18/16

NVC Receive - 04/29/16

NVC Welcome - 05/13/16

AOS, IV PAID - 05/27/16

DS260 done - 06/10/16

Case Transferred to US Embassy in Riga Latvia at the end of October.
