This is my first time posting. My priority day is 05/14/2013. It's going on 6 months Nov 14 since Chicago lockbox received my I130. I need answers ASAP. I am 25 weeks pregnant and I am a USC and live in NY. My husband lives in Dominican Republic. If my I130 gets approve, I will not be able to travel after my 29 weeks.. I'm due Feb 24th 2014 and this is freaking me out. My question to u guys is, if they call us for the interview during that time, can I attend an interview here in NY while my husband attends his in DR? I really don't want to postpone the interview. PLEASE HELP!!! I had asked this in a separate forum and was told that in normal cases I wouldn't have to be present during interview. However, that in DR n Jamaica both the petitioner and beneficiary have to be present.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

It us unlikely the interview would be scheduled before the delivery date. Why don't you contact the embassy yourself? Go their page and email their IV unit.

11/19/2014 - Transfer to TSC

12/19/2014 - NOA2

01/15/2014 - NVC Received (TSC held it for 3 weeks...)

02/19/2014 - Case no. and IIN assigned; requested embassy change

02/27/2014 - DS-261 available and submitted

02/28/2014 - AOS available and paid

03/19/2014 - AOS mailed

03/27/2014 - AOS entered into system

03/24/2014 - New case no. assigned

03/25/2014 - IV fee invoiced and paid

03/28/2014 - IV package sent via FedEx

04/26/2014 - case complete

06/01/2014 - passed interview

The USCIS, NVC, or consulate/embassy will likely NOT expedite anything regarding pregnancy unless it was very high risk and you have no one else to care for you. The best thing to do would be to delay at the NVC until a more favourable time to interview. You have up to a year to keep in contact with them between "contacts" (AOS and IV information/bill collection) so you can easily delay the interview without postponing it via the consulate/embassy.

ya, i suggest, since standing alongside is a must for interviews in DR -

that you delay a bit at NVC, at least a coupla months, seeking an interview March or April...

This other bit you're suggesting, to have an interview on you in the USA, I would not chase after it - it's 2 different government groups - USCIS vs DoS, and DoS doesn't interview in the USA.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Did you get your NOA2? You just mention your NOA1 date

If not, the Feb and March files are being transferred now and all the approvals aren't even done for them. April is still in LIMBO LAND. I would think you have a couple more months for your NOA2 and then you can expect another 8 weeks for the NVC. You'll probaby deliver by then. I know they won't expedite for pregnancy and even if they did, an expedite takes about 30 days and it doesn't carry over to the NVC.

I think you're pretty good right now. Don't stress yourself out . You have time
