Still nothing Norris? This sucks. The only positive I can give you is that there is a backlog at nvc right now which might have cleared up when you get there. We lost a month because our bloody lawyer let our I-130 form go to her junk folder but we got approved same time as some end of October peeps, we might have even got caught up in the transfers. These things do have a way of out in a funny old way. Still got everything crossed for you xxx

Finally rcvd my approval today. God is good. Good luck to all of you.

Congrats!!! And good luck the rest of the way!!!!!

Marriage: 12/10/2013
Sent I-130: 1/23/14
NOA1: 1/30/14
NOA2: 6/10/14
Email that it was shipped to nvc: 6/23/14
Received by NVC: 7/1/14
Case#/IID# assigned: 7/16/14
Received/Submitted DS-261: 7/29/14
Paid AOS fee: 7/30/14
Sent AOS packet: 8/1/14
Aos fee showing PAID: 8/2/14
Received and paid IV Fee: 9/8/14 (fee showing paid / DS-260 available 9/9/14)
Submitted DS-260: 9/11/14
Sent IV packet: 9/24/14
NVC Received 9/26/14

Arrived in US: 3/8/14

STILL HAPPY AND NORMAL AS OF 8/4/2016!!

AOS Approved per phone: 10/22/14
*Received what I thought was a false checklist on this date as well*

*Problems: Called on 10/27/14 11/5/14 and 11/20/14 just to be proactive On all of these dates except the last, NVC kept telling me that my IV document probably hadn't been reviewed yet. On 11/20 the representative told me that the BC needed to be inextensa and the marriage license. True enough I had sent an extracto. But requested a supervisor review bc I knew the marriage lic was inextensa. 2 days later called again and got the same supervisor who told me that the marriage lic needed the proper signed legalizada (sticker on the back)

Sent necessary documents/Received: 11/20/14 and 11/26/14

Called 12/15/14: got Arthur....after he checked and verbally spanked he sent me to supervisor Silvia who said she would pull my file and try to figure it out.

Case complete: 12/19/14 Sylvia called and left a voicemail, called and confirmed later that night and status changed to N/A.

Thank you so much Sylvia. May God bless you and your family.

Appointment date and time received: 12/27/14

***FAST FORWARD***

APPT complete/Visa approved: 2/5/2015

Norris SF and alreadytaken, you both have the patience of Job.....hang in there....your just days away!!! . However, I feel for you both...along with any other November filer who is still waiting.

Look on the bright side of things.....least you'll be done with USCIS!!! Those of us after you not only have to deal with USCIS work overload but as I understand it, will have further delays with the flood of initial DACA filers (of September 2014) who's petitions need to be filed 120 days prior, which is now.

Looking forward to reading your posts in the NVC July 2014 and onward threads.

Good luck!!!!

Hello Cathymac,

I hope you are well. So now you have your IIN and case number, are you able to log on to fill DS261? Or did they also tell you that you have to wait to get a confirmation email from NVC?

I called today and got my Case number and IIN number. They were supposedly available since 18 june. But then she said that it will take 2-4 weeks from the time your case number is generated that a confirmation email is sent. Then only you can fill DS261 form and get ready to pay your AOS fees. So of course, I go to check if i can file my DS261, and i cannot even access it as well as when i sign into the payment portal i only see under the AOS section the fees is NOT INVOICED yet.

Is the same thing happening to you too? Or are you able to proceed with your DS 261 and paying your fees?

:D :D :D

congrats NorrisSF…out of the frying pan into the fire…LOL>….but enjoy the month in the middle…party time….yay!!!!

We've got a lawyer so no Ds 261. Waiting for the Aos to become available now. Yes, can't do anything until she gets the email, so frustrating. Got a lovely condescending email from her saying, thank you for getting your case number to me ( but you wasted your time) I just wanted to slap her and tell her to get us through this stage already ;) Sent my IV docs to her today. She says no hurry because of the backlog :(

It shouldn't take that long to access the ds261. Most people are getting it after a week or so. You on any of the fb pages? Lots of helpful folk there at different stages of the process and it's not overwhelming like the pages on here.

congrats NorrisSFout of the frying pan into the fireLOL>.but enjoy the month in the middleparty time.yay!!!!
