I contacted congressman Keith Ellison from Minnesota regarding my case and response from his office is given below:

USCIS records confirm that the Nebraska Service Center (NSC) received your constituent’s Form I-130 on November 18, 2013. The adjudication review of your constituent’s petition is currently assigned to an officer for review at the NSC.

Please allow time for this office to review this case. If Mr. Syed, has not received a USCIS decision or other notice of action regarding his petition within the next 30 days from the date of this E-mail message, you may send us another inquiry regarding this case. We will search to see why their I-130 petition has not been completed.”

Now i have to wait for 30 more days but hoping approval comes soon.

It sickens me that people before me still haven't been approved. I know it's no consolation but I'm truly angry on your behalf. It's really not fair. Priority date should be just that, priority. I'm sorry guys. If they worked by priority and I could give my date to an earlier filer and know when that would come in order, I would. If nvc can work through cases as they come, why can't uscis? Even straight forward cases can take longer with ones with RFEs. It's incredible.

well 8 days now since my case was shipped and they still haven't received it.

praying it will be soon.

When did you get approved? I was going to give mine a couple of weeks before calling them.

Well hopefully other service centers are faster than TSC at sending over approved petitions. The NVC finally "received" our file today, May 29 and we had a USCIS approval NOA2 date of May 8. That's just over 3 weeks to simply receive the file. Now it's 30 days more just for a case number. I'm not sure if TSC is that slow sending files or NVC is that far under water just receipting files....

Sorry for the double posting...but I do realize now it took exactly 3 weeks (not a bit over).

Speaking to a few others just now, I've been told the service centers send them over in batches. So some folks that might be getting approved later in this month at USCIS may not lose as much time in transit as they think.

Now let's get the rest of November folks approved already!!! C'mon USCIS!!

Why can't uscis do any thing in priority order?

Things would not be so bad if USCIS did things in the order of filing. And doing service requests is a temporary relief as they then say to wait 30 days before asking again why the case is outside proper processing times...just to do another service request.
