I can't say it's been easy, and it wasn't by choice, but we each had responsibilities that took priority over us being together in one place for a while.

We maybe also have more patience because we're older, we both knew what we didn't want, and we make the most of our time together when we have it. But there were times where we both came close to giving up, that's for sure

That's something I have noticed, at 25 I am on the of the youngest people I know on here undergoing this.

Long distance romance is not for the faint of heart, no matter the age. I am twice yours and I can't imagine I would have stuck it out this long when I was 25.

Peace. :)

Just turned 20 and been doing this for a year and a half.. not a lot compared to you guys, but definitely very difficult at this age.. and now I'm graduating from college and all I wanna do is finally start a life with my husband, instead I have to sit here with nothing to do except hate USCIS.

By the way, we don't usually say "I CAN'T HEAR YOU", it's more "Hold on hold on! You're breaking up!" "WHAT? We're breaking up?!" "No Skype!" -_-

LOL - we have an expression "You're Wip wahing" - so you hear little snippets that just sound like Wip wah. Stupid Skype.

Another funny thing - my husband bought a house for us in 2012, AT&T told him 'no problem, we'll just move your service over, give us a call when you've moved in!". Hubby put in his offer, bought the house, called AT&T day after moving in and they said "Gee, we don't service that area."

So the man I met on the internet had NO internet for about 5 months. He spent 5 months eating dinner out at restaurants with WiFi., till he got a ridiculously expensive (and not particularly good) service via a cell provider. LMAO.

We figured it was just another challenge that made our relationship that much stronger.

Peace.

Don't think age comes into it. Younger = impatience. Older= years flying by. I'm 46 and think I'd have probably been as pissed at this process as I am now.

Quick question, mu hubby (us citizen) will obviously be my sponsor and filling out the Affidavit of support, we DO have a joint sponsor (his dad and step-mom)

My husband hasn't worked in 3 years almost, he was unemployed in the US for 1 year and while living in Ireland he lived off savings he has so didn't NEED a job.

Does he still need to provide tax transcripts and everything or do we just leave it with N/A?

I'm really worried this might work against us! :(

I am doing this for 3 years now, the half of our first year was he was in deployment and those months drove me crazy because I should be up at 4 am for our daily yahoo chat (at that time, we didn't know about skype..lol) Sometimes, I fell asleep at work..lol. I get upset when he can't connect to the internet..hahaha. I am laughing at myself remembering those days.

mine is the 27th. I don't think they are finished with October yet though. Everything seems a bit random but it's great news :D
