i think we need to be cognizant of the fact this was uscis overall just not NBC and AILA meeting. I hope there will be another meething that we should wait for? i saw a couple transfered to nebraska and got approved in 2 weeks? is that going to be a trend who knows

I had read the transcript of this meeting a few days ago - I think on the USCIS site, but I'm not sure. I believe the October 23rd meeting was primarily about working visas - not family visas. I thought the November meeting would be about the family visas.

Perhaps I am misremembering, but I wasn't devastated about this transcript (at the time I read it earlier) because I thought we still had a November meeting where USCIS was going to be slammed about the I-130s......

I'm also under the impression that the Oct 31 meeting with the NBC addressed I-130 issues, and I've been waiting for that Q&A to post -- found this one today instead and didn't enjoy the brush-off that immediate relative petitions got. I hope there's a much different tone from the 10/31 meeting.

The whole system is a joke. They have no way to stop the fraud besides repeating everything on the forms and more forms hoping you will mess up. Then the examiners no matter how hard they work their stack of work never decreases. Don't get me started, after battling K1, AOS and ROC, USC ought to be a breeze.

Probably because not many lawyers get fee from IR1/CR1 petitions.

We need to get more proactive and ask for a separate meeting, probably ask for information from USCIS under Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

"On June 4, 2013, we received this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or contact our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283."

It's going to be 6 months in November for my marriage, and I haven't even received my NOA2 yet and I am an US citizen. Thanks for testing my marriage USCIS, and laughing at me when I called to inquire on the status of my application because they are following the "process guidelines". When I originally checked their processing time, it said 4 to 5 months and now its at 11 months. Off course its completly normal for newly weds to stay apart for almost a year. No wonder people try to cheat the system by brining their significant other on a "tourist visa" and get married here. Applications in Texas are being processed with 2-3 months. Lesson learned USCIS!

It all is pretty depressing...my wife is getting very discouraged....I just wish we could know what the real story is...did they lose all our files? Were they told to slow their processing on purpose? Is this political? Immigration reform my a@@! Its sickening to see a certain segment of the population being given a free pass, while we sit here and wait...its doing so much damage to our relationships with our loved ones. I would love to know how many smoke and coffee breaks USCIS workers take every day! aaaahhhhhrrrrgggg!

Just my opinion, under this administration, things will get worse for ALL filers for documents for immigration petitions.,.,.they would rather bail out and could care less! THEY have enough problems with what was promised, and what actually is happening in this country, that is a vague as I can put it, I could say more, but will not!
