Finally packet 3 is received after about a month of waiting!

WOW! That was a long stressful wait!!!! OK, now moving to the next step.

The instruction says:

"Please follow the instructions and mail the items listed below along with this letter to the consulate"

There are two letters, I guess, , The question is, which "letter" The "welcome letter" or this letter with the "instruction"?

uh oh.

if you got 'that' thing

then look for DS-2001 in your mailer, find it, and

it's that thing, you fill out and send back.

OR OF-171.

either/or

It's interesting that you 'got something' in the mail - prior, did you [[pay the visa fee and register on ustraveldocs.com]] or no ?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

What is DS-2001? Or OF-171? It's not mention in the packet 3.

In the packet 3, they only asked me to send 3 things:

1. Confirmation page of DS-160

2. Copy of passport (personal page)

3. (2) 2x2 photographs.

No, I haven't paid anything yet. I have to wait for the packet 4 first right before doing that?

The letter with the instructions, wow so yours is requesting a confirmation of hte DS-160, that form you can fill online. Strangely on our P3 packet, we were asked for Part 1 of DS230, copy of passport information page and 2 passport size photographs.

Strangely it seems its different each time o.0

Hi httuner,

Do not worry about that. Effective October, the other forms were replaced by DS-160. I guess, there's a new law of form deduction in the congress. I am not sure but my fiance mentioned that. He works with the federal government.

So, If you have completed those forms before October, I guess, there's no problem with it.

Good luck on your interview. It's fast approaching... smile.pngdancin5hr.gif
