If you read a couple pages back, you'll see that I was able to do an early walk-in. My appointment was at the office on Pulaski. However, there are no guarantees that they will accept you.

Hey Nica

Thanks much for your prompt feedback, Pulaski location is way far perhaps I’d have to hail a cab from loop anyway I'm just trying to calculate if it's worth going all the way down there....? By the way around what time did you walk in? Did they ask any specific reason of your earlier appearance?

Thanks

Fomee, see here:

I was able to do a walk in today (1 day early) but at first I was afraid they wouldn't let me do it. The lady looked at me with a very serious look and asked why did I need to come in early. I explained that today I had off and to come in Monday I would have to ask for permission at work. She told me to take a seat but didn't give the papers to fill out yet, she said there was no guarantee. I was there for about 40 min total but at the end she did allow me to take my fingerprints.

I went to Pulaski because that's where I was scheduled. If you're not scheduled to go there, I have no idea if they will take you or not.

Good Morning All,

Wondering how USCIS picks up the interview date for us by the priority date or FP results? Allow me to refresh my un-answered question from yesterday that by doing early Biometrics (walks in) holistically does it escalate the Interview date process or it varies ???

Regards

It depends... on a variety of factors. Your eligibility date, the field office's workload are just some factors. A lot of people who do early walk ins get "inline" for interview a couple of days later provided they are within the eligibility timeframe. However, I had my biometrics done 12/5 and am still not "inline" for interview although I was eligible over a decade ago. Either my fingerprints did not process properly or San Bernardino is backed up. (or they can't find my file from so many years ago...)

I've decided to take the route of patience because obviously I was not in a terrible hurry to file my N400, so what's a couple more weeks?

My friend's parents are in their Oath ceremony in Los Angeles today. Hurray to them!!!

I walked in and got my earlier FP done on 12/18/2013 wink.png

Early walk in Bio doesn't HELP at all. It all depends on the NBC & field office work load. After BIO , they do your Name check, Background check and all previously submitted Files. So it can take 1-2 days or 2-3 months. After clearing that all checks you will be placed inline for interview. After that it depends on your field office workload. If they have more cases then it can take long time to be scheduled. I have seen that some people got scheduled the same day as they got placed inline & for some people it took like 2-3 months.

In my case , my original bio date was 9/23 but I did early bio on 9/16 because I had ROC interview at that time. After 3 months , on 12/16 I got placed inline & on next day I got scheduled.

So in short, this is a game "WAIT & WATCH ,DONT PANIC,ENJOY".
