Has anyone else had the experience that calling the USCIS 800 number is a complete waste of time...everytime I call I get the identical information that I have read (word for word) from the website and TEIR 2 is even worse They refuse to help even if they could...I give up calling if it happens it happens.

Yes, everyone.

What do you want to know?

If Tier2 doesn't help then it tells me that you likely don't have a real emergency or problem, that you might be calling about processing time?

nothing just noticing it is a complete waste of personnel they could be processing petitions for all those people that have been waiting so long to get approved for what they do 1 or 2 people could handle. Just another one of our government wasteful programs...

Oh, this is one of those threads.

Well, the people you call don't work for USCIS. They are subcontracted employees who read from a screen. The Tier2 people work for USCIS. They want to keep to phone line open for problems they can fix.

Yep, as Harpa said. The sub-contracted employees that usually pick up the phone basically read a screen identical to the one you can get yourself by typing your USCIS case number in on their website. Hiring hundreds of actual USCIS adjudicators to pick up the phone would be wasteful government spending, as visa adjudication is one of those areas that the majority of American taxpayers never have to deal with.

After studying your timeline, I must think -

What's the problem? Currently you two are waiting on EAD to arrive. If you wish it to arrive earlier, you could certainly ask for an expedite based on a job offer.

Otherwise, you two are 'on track', in the groove, already. Sure, you had 2 responses to RFE's, but the latest was just last week.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
