I got this message the other day when i checked my status on line... "your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)", I am wondering what is this and whats Gonna happen next ?

Nothing is happened. But for myself, after a few weeks I've got notice of my alien registration had been changed my fiance's I-129F was approved. Good luck for the next surprise!

I got the same message after my 129F (K3) was accepted, so I called uscis customer service. Their reply was: your alien spouse was assigned number but you still have to wait until they get to your petition date is reviewed. Who knows when that will be???

Once they receive your petition they assign an alien registration number to your beneficiary.

Now you pretty much just have to wait for the approval. That depends a lot on which service center it gets sent to, but could have 6 or 7 months.

November 14th, 2013: She's here!

December 12th, 2013: Picked up marriage license.

December 14th, 2013: Wedding

You have to wait, that's was gonna happen next. Mine was assigned almost right away and here we are, almost 5 months later, waiting for our NOA2.

It's a normal thing that happens to everyone who applied for a visa, that's all. Nothing to worry about.

May want to check the service center forum for estimated current wait times.

Texas Service Center (TSC) in average is pretty quick for approvals and when they sent it to NVC as well. Just take a look on signature of my K-1 visa timeline . I also read some post of VJer here said that California Service Center (CSC) takes a bit longer when they sent case to NVC. Just cross fingers you'll get approval anytime soon. Good luck!

We are having our alien # changed since october 9th and still nothing!! And we are in Texas Service Center too.....?

I got a new message from uscis .. They said..

On October 29, 2013, we mailed a notice requesting initial evidence in this case. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the evidence requested. Meanwhile, processing of this case is on hold until we either receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once you submit the evidence requested and a decision is made, you will be notified by mail.

I received this message on Oct 24, 2013

I received NOA 2 on Nov 1, 2013

I guess if you get a Alien registration number has changed message you can expect NOA 2 in a few days.

May not be true for all applications but I have read here quite a few have received this a few days after the message.

10/02/13 I-129F Mailed Completed Package

10/08/13 NOA 1 E Mail Notification Received

10/09/13 NOA 1 Acceptance Letter Received in the Mail

11/01/13 NOA 2 E Mail Notification Received APPROVED

11/04/13 NOA 2 Letter Received in the Mail

Guys, I am sorry for asking, but when you say you got message about it - it's like you got an email about it? or you mean you just opened uscis website and found it says your alien registration number was changed? I am just so confused, because my fiance didn't get any email about it.

If you've signed up for e-mail/text notifications then you should have received something. However, there's lots of people on here who didn't receive theirs, even up to approval. It's best to check the website regularly in case you miss an RFE etc.
