Stressed out...

I sent the paperwork in for my husband March 8, 2013. We got our NAO1 March 14, 2013. Since then, I haven't heard a word. I have tried to use our code to look up our case online, but it says that the case can't be found, and it has been like that since March. I have called numerous times to the 1-800 number and have been told repeatedly by tier II officers that we need to be patient and that our case is in their system and that we can't view our case online because of a computer issue that they are working on. Does ANYONE know what our next step should be to find out what's going on with our case? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If you believe USCIS lost your petition, contact your senator or congress person. Even USCIS Ombudsman office.

Just relax i have a friend she have the same problem ,she have a case number but can't see the process online she called and they told her the same after 8 months they email her the aproval and told her to check her case now,and the case number work,and she found that she got aproved.

I applied for my wife in march as well. Although i totally put applying for her behind me i just never checked and beginning of this month NOA2 came and case for forwarded to NVC. Sometimes it is too stressful if you keep looking and logging in. They never give a time frame so i don't know what would you expect with logging in. If you have doubts about your petition then there is a concern but otherwise i say don't stress about it it will eventually come. I didn't even signup for uscis website. Immigration matters are always random. A person can be done in 10 days another in 100 days.

As Boggy1974 said you can ask your Congressperson or Senator to query about the status.

Though our case went from A1 to N0A2 in a good amount of time it seemed to have gotten stuck at the NVC and that was frustrating. Eventually I asked my Congresswoman to simply make a query about the status and voila! It showed up in the system within 24 hours at NVC and was off to Manila in a few days.

You have good reason to be frustrated you're pushing 8 months--that's a long time. Check in your country forum to see what others have experienced and if it still seems oddly long try your Congressman first.

Snags can occur anyplace along the line, we submitted the wrong proof of divorce and got a 221g. It's now pushing a month since they received the proper documents. We know of two couples here who had been delayed for the same reason and both are in America now while ours sits who knows where. Once it hits a month I'll ask my Congresswoman to intercede, if that doesn't help I'll ask my Senator to intercede. Beyond that all that's left is to as God to intercede..

You have good reason to be frustrated you're pushing 8 months--that's a long time. Check in your country forum to see what others have experienced and if it still seems oddly long try your Congressman first.

There's no country preference in course of USCIS processing. It can be harder in some countries with AP and stuff but way down the road.

I do remember the servers went down for maintenance over the weekend. Maybe they are trying to fix something. Our case was suspended because the check bounced, and though we have paid it off now, it's still showing the same message. We haven't had any mail advising us of a new priority date, but on the other hand, we haven't received notice of rejection either. All we can do is wait. They're in control.

You live in Dayton, OH? Contact congressman Turner. Read what he says on USCIS and fill out the authorization form. Here is the link:

No, I honestly feel there is no light at the end of the tunnel anymore and that this process will take an ungodly long amount of time, like 2-3 years. I'm a total pessimist when it comes to USCIS.
